Before confirming your booking at Wigwam Holidays Charnwood Forest please take the time to read the information below. It includes vital information regarding cancellation policies and services available at the site, including expected behaviour whilst at the site, which will assist you with planning your holiday.

Site Season:

Our site season is April to October inclusive. We may extend this period at our discretion. e.g if Easter falls early.

Payment Policy:

To secure your booking a deposit or full payment is required at the time of booking; we do not accept provisional bookings so please do not make a booking unless you are in the position to honor it. Once a deposit has been paid the remaining balance must be paid through BACs or debit or credit card before the stay. A full refund is available up until 5 days before arrival. Please contact us for further information.

Cancellation/No-show Policy

A full refund up is available up until 5 days before arrival.

The above terms and conditions only apply to bookings that are made online at www.wigwamholidays.com/charnwood-forest. Bookings made directly with the site owner is not covered by the 5 day cancellation guarantee. Please call site for separately agreed terms.

Amendments to Bookings

Any changes to bookings will incur an administration fee of £25.00

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend you take out an appropriate travel insurance policy to give peace of mind that your financial commitment is protected, should you be forced to cancel your holiday for any reason. We recommend that guests have an appropriate level of travel insurance in place for their needs.

Arrival/Departure Procedures

Check-in time is between 3.00pm and 5pm. Arrival after 5pm is by arrangement only and guests may be required to locate their own Wigwam Cabin. Please contact Clare on 07889 955585 to arrange this.

Check out is 10am prompt on the day of departure.

Whilst we do employ cleaners, guests are expected to leave their Wigwam Cabin in a neat and tidy condition, with all refuse deposited in the Refuse Collection Area.

For group bookings, please ensure all equipment including, all utensils and picnic bench is returned to the respective cabins prior to departure.

No food must be left in the fridge upon departure.

Site Rules

Any guest found to be repeatedly breaking any of our Site Rules will be asked to leave the Site immediately without a refund.

Breakage/Damage

We reserve the right to charge the Debit/Credit Card used at the time of booking an additional fee should the Wigwam Cabin be left in an unsatisfactory condition or if there is any damage to the Wigwam Cabin of the furnishing therein. It is requested that guests advise Reception in the event of breakage or damage.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in any of the Wigwam Cabins or outdoor communal areas. [3]

Dogs

Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. Owners are expected to clean up behind their dogs and use the bins provided. No dangerous breeds allowed iaw: list25.com/25-most-dangerous-dog-breeds & Dangerous Dog Act 1991.

Barbeque/Fire Pit*

The Firepit (including tripod & grill) can be used on purchase of your first bag of logs, kindling, firelighters & Matches (The Firepit bundle). Additional logs & kindling can also be purchased on site. The Firepit must not be moved from its position under any circumstances. Please be aware of wind direction to ensure smoke does not become an annoyance to others and flames to not encroach onto the woodland area.

*Only wood purchased on site can be used as damp wood causes excessive smoke and can cause fires by sparking embers.

*During long dry periods and/or high winds we reserve the right to temporarily suspend the use of fire pits. A sign will be placed at the main entrance and on the car park instructing firpits not to be used.

*Personal Gas or Disposable BBQ's are not permitted on site as these pose a serious risk of major fires.

*No BBQ's or Firepits of any type are to be used on the wooden deck areas as they pose a serious risk of major fires.

These rules form part of our accepted Site Fire Safety Policy. Anyone breaching these rule may be asked to leave the site

Lost Property

Items must be claimed within 2 weeks of departure. Where relevant, postage and packaging charges will apply for the return of goods.

Group Bookings - including Parties and Events.

Our 6 Wigwam Cabins provide accommodation for up to 24 people based on 2 sharing a double bed. We welcome bookings from schools, social clubs, sports clubs, church groups, family gatherings, residential houses, day centres, special needs groups and other events. Contact with us must be made prior to group bookings being accepted. Please contact us directly for further information.

Additional friends not booked on site.

It is not permmissible to invite friends onto the site that have not booked into a cabin. Our Insurance policy only covers booked guests. Unbooked guests will be politely asked to leave.

Disability Access

Our Wigwam Cabins are not currently suitable for wheelchairs, due to their hillside location.

Complaints Procedure

We take all comments from guests very seriously and in the unlikely event you wish to make a complaint you may contact the Site Owners directly either via John’s Lee Cottage, telephone 07889 955585 or email and we will respond. We will attempt to resolve any issues as soon as possible.

Code of Conduct 

Noise

Noise pollution is taken seriously. We expect all guests to respect others and keep noise to a minimum, adhering to a noise curfew from 10pm until 7am. Out of respect for fellow glampers, please ensure all music is kept low and if played inside the Wigwam Cabins, it cannot be heard outside

External Amplified Music is not permitted on site to minimise the impact of the development on the amenity of adjacent residents and to ensure the character of the countryside and the sites sensitive location are protected.

We expect all our visitors to respect and look after the Site and the Wigwam Cabin you are staying in.

Parents/Carers are responsible for their children and must be supervised at all times whilst on our site. Particularly around the pond and hot tub. The site is adjacent to horse paddocks which does have an electrified fence which can be switched on when horses are present.

There is a First Aid Kit at the cottage which can be used if we are in, however it is recommended guest bring their own.
