When is your site open?

All year except for a few dates around Christmas time and The King's Coronation (people will be able to stay on site over this period, but we will be closed for check-ins on these dates)

Do you allow dogs/pets? If so, is there a pet charge?

We have six dog-friendly Wigwam® Cabins

All dog-friendly Wigwams have a gated enclosed decked area. 

There is a charge of £8 per dog per night.

Is the site suitable for children?

Yes, the site is very suitable for children with a number of facilities, which are great for kids including:

  • Kids Fishing

  • Play park and ‘chill out’ tipi den

  • Giant games

  • Fairy village and Fairy trail

  • Grassed Area

  • DVD/book/games lending library

Do you accept groups, parties or celebrations?

We accept all types of groups, although recommend calling if you have any special arrangements or questions. Hen and Stag parties must call prior to booking, as a deposit of £100 per Wigwam is required. 

Do you allow campfires?

All our Wigwam® Cabins come with fire pits/BBQ

What is included in one your standard Wigwam® Cabins (i.e. mattresses, toaster, kettle etc.)?

Included in each of our Wigwam® Cabins you will find:

  • Toaster

  • Kettle

  • Microwave

  • 2 ring electric hob

  • Television

  • Fridge

  • Kitchenette

  • Full En-suite with heated towel rail

  • Cleaning products- washing up liquid, hand soap, tea towel & sponge, dustpan and brush

  • Washing Up Bowl

  • Basic crockery and cutlery for 4 people

  • Corkscrew, can opener, fish slice & spoon 

  • Frying pan and saucepan

  • Large decking area

  • Firepit/BBQ

  • Outdoor table and chairs 

  • 4x Wooden Mushroom Seats

  • External fairy lights (please turn the lights off during the daytime)

What cooking facilities are provided?

Inside all our Wigwam® Cabins is a small kitchen area with 2 electric hobs, a microwave, toaster and kettle. Each Wigwam® also comes with an outdoor firepit/BBQ.

What do I need to bring?

For your stay at Wigwam® Holidays Brampton you will need to bring with you:

  • Bedding

  • Crockery

  • Sharp kitchen knife

Can I order any extras, and if so how much for each item?

At Wigwam® Holidays Brampton there is a number of extras you can order – all are listed under the Extras tab.

Is there parking next to the Wigwam® Cabins? If not, how close is the parking area?

No, we operate a pedestrians only policy onsite, however there is a drop off zone near the Wigwam® Cabins. If you or any of your party has physical disabilities please call Claire on 07719645992 and we will do our best to locate you as close to the drop off zones as possible.

From what time can I check in?

Check-in is from 14.30pm

What is the latest time I can check in?

The latest time for check in is 17.00pm. However, we recognise that work commitments often make this impossible. Therefore, if you are arriving after 17.00 please call the site before 17.00 to arrange for a key to be left.

What time do I need to vacate the Wigwam® Cabin?

We ask everyone to vacate their Wigwam® Cabin on the date of departure by 10.00am.

Do you have a shop/reception/cafe onsite and when is it open?

We have a shop that acts as a reception and is open 9am to 5pm every day except Mondays (except for School holidays when we are open 7 days a week). There is a Cafe on site, please contact Bite Cafe and Tearooms for their opening times- 016977 42235.

Is Fun Fishing Open Every Day?

Fun fishing is open every day of the week, between the hours of 9am-5pm. We operate it in time slots; 9am-11am; 11.30am-1.30pm; 2pm-4pm.

How many toilets and showers do you have on-site?

Each Wigwam® Cabin has a full en-suite, and there is an additional customer toilet in reception and in the Café.

Do you have a family shower for babies?

Unfortunately, we do not provide this kind of facility. However, there is a baby change table in the reception toilet.

How close is the nearest pub/restaurant?

The closest pub/restaurant is half a mile away from the site.

How far to the nearest supermarket?

The nearest supermarket is only half a mile away from the site.

How far is it from public transport?

You can find the nearest bus stop 1mile away at The Sands. To find, walk down the road towards Brampton (685 – Hexham-Carlisle). Brampton train station is located 2.2miles away- https://goo.gl/maps/oYx3RB8AzaX8pYvHA with hourly trains to Newcastle and Carlisle.

Is there WiFi access on site?

We have WiFi access outside the shop and in the café only- it is free of charge. There is also good 4G on site.
