How many Wigwam® Cabins does your site have?

We have six Running Water Deluxe Wigwam® Cabins.

When is your site open?

All year round.

Do you allow dogs/pets? If so, is there a pet charge?

Yes. Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome in each cabin with prior notice and for an additional charge, shown in Price and Availability. Please see terms and conditions for further important information about bringing your dog.

Is the site suitable for children?

Yes. We have a large grassed play area where guests are free to play football, cricket, rounders, frisbee and enjoy the fresh country air.

Do you accept groups, parties or celebrations?

Yes. We are currently developing a traditional Yorkshire farm building for our guests to enjoy as a chill-out space or somewhere to use for larger gatherings or meals with family and friends. Please ring Catherine on 07930 225545 for further details.

Do you allow campfires?

We provide a complimentary BBQ/firepit for guests to enjoy and have logs for sale on-site. This is the only form of campfire which is permitted.

What is included in a Running Water Deluxe Wigwam® Cabin?

  • Integrated private shower room with toilet, wash hand basin, walk-in shower, towel rail radiator.
  • Kitchenette with sink, fridge, electric hob, kettle, toaster and microwave.
  • Double bed and pull-out double bed settee. Bed linen can be hired for an additional charge.
  • Centrally located electric wall heater.
  • Dining table and four chairs.
  • TV with DVD player.
  • Lockable French doors leading onto outdoor decking area with panoramic views over open countryside, picnic table & BBQ/firepit.
  • Starter pack including tea pot, milk jug, mugs, dinner plates, side plates, cereal bowls, cutlery, plastic jug and tumblers (for four guests), kitchen towel, tea towel, washing up liquid, washing up bowl, scourer, dishcloth, chopping board and tin opener.
  • Welcome pack containing lots of useful information about the local area.

Additional items such as logs for your complimentary BBQ/firepit, bed linen and towels, pan sets, travel cot, lanterns etc. are also available to at a reasonable rate to hire or buy.

What do I need to bring?

Bedding, towels, toiletries and a torch or headlamp.

Is electricity included in the tariff?


What cooking facilities are provided?

All our Running Water Deluxe Wigwam® Cabins have a kitchenette with sink, fridge, electric hob, kettle, toaster and microwave. There is also a complimentary BBQ/fire pit for guests to enjoy with logs sold on-site.

Is There Parking Next To The Wigwam® Cabins? If Not How Close Is The Parking Area?

Each Wigwam® Cabin has its own designated parking space adjacent to it. Additional parking spaces are available at an extra charge.

Do you have bike storage facilities?

Yes. There are communal bike storage facilities on-site.

From what time can I check-in from?


What is the latest time I can check-in?

6pm (or later by prior arrangement).

What time to I need to vacate the Wigwam® Cabin?

10am prompt. This is to ensure we can provide you with the highest standards of cleanliness on check- in.

Are the Wigwam® Cabins warm all year round?

Yes. They are very well insulated and have an electric wall heater, making them cosy and warm during the coldest of weather.

Do you have a shop/reception onsite and when is it open?

No, but we do sell logs for the BBQ/fire pit on-site. If there is anything you have forgotten or require once you get here such as bedding, towels etc. please let us know as we may be able to hire these items to you at short notice.

How many toilets and showers do you have onsite?

There are no communal toilets and showers as these are all provided en-suite in your Wigwam® Cabin.

How close is the nearest pub or restaurant?

The nearest pub/restaurant is 0.5 miles away or a 10 to 15 minute walk.

How far to the nearest supermarket?

The nearest Co-op supermarket is less than 2.5 miles away although there are several other major supermarkets in Northallerton, approximately 3 miles from here.

How far is the nearest butcher?

We have a number of very good butchers within the area where you can buy breakfast and barbeque provisions for your BBQ/fire pit.

The nearest one is White's Butchers in Morton on Swale but there are also some excellent butchers in Northallerton and Bedale, details of which will be provided in your welcome pack.

How far is it from public transport?

The nearest bus stop is on the village green in Ainderby Steeple which is about a 15 minute walk.

The nearest railway station is Northallerton which is approximately 3 miles away.
