How many Wigwam does your site have?

At Herding Hill Farm we have 17 Wigwam cabins onsite located just a short walk from our 5-star amenity block. 8 of our Wigwam cabins have private outdoor hut tub and 10 of our Wigwam cabins have their own toilet.

When is your site open?

Our Platinum pennant 5-star campsite is open all year round.

Do you allow dogs/ pets? If so, is there any pet charge?

We allow dogs and pets in most of the Herding Hill Farm Wigwam cabins. There is a charge of £15 per dog per night for the Wigwam cabins.

Is the site suitable for children?

Our family-friendly site is suitable for children. We have a children's playground, ball field and animal petting farm on-site.

Do you allow campfires?

We have fire pits for hire but do not allow guests to bring their own or light campfires directly on the ground.

What is included in one of your standard Wigwam cabins?

Our Herding Hill Farm Wigwam cabins include - mattresses, heaters, a toaster, a kettle, a microwave and a fridge. Guests are asked to bring their own equipment and linen but we have croc boxes and linen available to hire if guests prefer. We also have fire pits and BBQs for hire.

Is electricity included in the tariff?

Yes, electricity is included in the tariff.

What cooking facilities are provided?

We include basic cooking facilities such as fridge, kettle, toaster and a microwave. BBQ's are also available to hire.

What do I need to bring?

You need to bring bedding and towels as well as your own plates, pans and crcokery. We do have bedding and crockery available to hire..

Can I order any extras?

You can order extras such as - croc boxes, bedding, fire pits, BBQs. We also offer party and celebration packs if you would like your Herding Hill Farm Wigwam to be decorated for a special occasion prior to your arrival. We can also add Prosecco, flowers or champagne for that sepcial occasion.

Is there parking next to the Wigwam cabins? If not how close is the parking area?

Yes, there is free parking for one vehicle next to each of the Herding Hill Farm Wigwam cabins.

From what time can I check in?

You can check in from 3pm onwards.

What is the latest time I can check in?

You can check in until 9pm latest, unless discussed over the phone.

What time do I need to vacate the Wigwam?

You must vacate the Wigwam by 10am to allow us time to prepare the cabins for the next guests.

Do you have a shop/ reception onsite?

We do have a reception onsite open from 2pm, which includes a small licensed shop selling local Northumberland produce and real ales. We offer pizzas delivered to your Wigwam cabin on Friday evenings in season.

How many toilets do you have onsite?

We have one 5-star toilet block onsite which includes 5 ladies toilets and 3 male toilets.Ther is also an accessible family bathroom. Our Running Water Wigwam Cabins have their own en-suite WC.

Do you have a family shower for babies?

We have a family wet room which includes a bath and a baby changing surface. There are also 2 enclosed bathrooms with baths in the ladies.

How close is the nearest pub or restaurant?

The nearest restaurant/ pub is The Milecastle Inn, located half mile from the site. Dogs are not allowed inside the pub but there is a large beer garden with spectacular views. The pub serves great food and Northumberland real ales.

How far is it to the nearest supermarket?

The nearest supermarket is in Haltwhistle 1.5 miles away from the site. There is a Sainsburys and a Co-Op.

Is there Wifi access onsite?

Yes, we provide free Wifi.
