Allerthorpe Lakeland Park - Set in 53 acres of ground and lakes with lakeside cafe and playground. Offering a variety of watersports on the lake: Aqua Park- inflatable obstacle course, pedalo's, kayaks and canoes available to hire on the lake. Also a three acre course fishing lake onsite and dogs are welcome.

Allerthorpe Woods - Popular pine wood, ideal for dog walking and family walks. The Plough Inn at the back of the pub, makes it an ideal place to stop for refreshments.

Yorkshire Air Museum - This museum brings to life over 150 years of aviation history all within authentic wartime surroundings. With over 60 aircraft and vehicles to see and considered to be one to the top visitor attractions in Yorkshire.

York Maze - Largest Maze in the UK, an award winning day out with over 20 rides, attractions and shows. Fun for all the family. Open July - September.

Pockington Market Town - Local shops and restaurants with market every Tuesday, 7 miles from the site and includes:

Burnby Hall Gardens - Gardens and lakes spread over 8 acres with a variety of different gardens to explore from Victorian to Rockery gardens and secret gardens all surrounding a large lake. With an onsite cafe, playground and small museum dedicated to the travels of Major Percy Stewart makes this an ideal day out. 

Yorkshire Wolds – Millington Village located in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds and only 3 miles from Pocklington, provides lovely walks with scenic views overlooking the Yorkshire Wolds. Lovely walks around Millington Woods or higher up over Millington pastures and refreshments in the village tea room or local pub.

Castle Howard - One of Britain’s finest Stately homes with large gardens, farm shop, restaurant and woodland. Children can enjoy the new high up Skelf Island Adventure playground.

Sledmere House and Gardens - Stately home with walled garden, animals, play area, stables with horses and deer park.

Piglets Adventure Farm - is a 25 minute drive from the site with farm animals to pet, ride on tractors, sandpits, tractor rides and a large inside play barn with slides and rope swings.

Williams Den - New natural play area indoors and outdoors. The indoor area includes a large wooden tree house with rope bridges, sand and water all constructed from responsibly sourced wood. 

York Mc Arthur Glen Designer outlet, (just outside York City) - Indoor shopping centre, home to 120 stores with restaurants and play area. Ideal for a rainy day.

Just over an hour’s drive is North Yorkshire Moors National park, and the east coast seaside towns of Scarborough and Filey.
