Can you Social Distance onsite?

All our cabins are self contained units, with own bathroom, kitchenette and Firepit/BBQ. We have no shared facilites onsite

How many Wigwam Cabins does your site have?

We have 9 en suite deluxe Wigwam Cabins and 3 Wigwam Lodge fully accessible Cabins. All the cabins are en suite with the Deluxe cabins sleeping up to 2 adults and 2 children and the Wigwam lodge accessible cabin, sleeping up to 3 adults and 2 children. All the cabins overlook a stunning wildlife lake, surrounded by woodland and come with Fire pit/BBQ.

When is your site open?

We are open all year, all the cabins are fully insulated and heated

Do you allow dogs/pets? If so, is there a pet charge?

All the cabins are dog friendly and allow up to 2 dogs per cabin. 

Is the site suitable for children?

Yes, it's great for children to see the wildlife and play in the woods. All children must be supervised around the lake

Do you accept groups, parties or celebrations?

We welcome small groups, but please note we are a quiet site so noise must be kept to a minimum after 10pm. We have a no music policy onsite to avoid disturbing other guests. Sorry but no Hen or Stag groups

Do you allow campfires?

All our Wigwam Cabins come with Fire pits/BBQ's, logs and firewood bundles can be puchased onsite

What is included in one of your standard Wigwam Cabins?

Included in each of our Wigwam Cabins you will find:

  • Toaster, Kettle, Microwave, Television, Fridge, Kitchenette with 2 hobs
  • Ensuite bathroom
  • Washing up sponge and liquid
  • Crockery – Plates, side plates, mugs, bowls, plastic tumblers, plastic wine glasses, cutlery all for 4 people. Chopping board, cork screw, tin opener, mixing bowl and sharp knife and bread knife
  • Frying pan, saucepan and utensils
  • Fire pit/BBQ
  • Picnic table, 4 log seats for around the fire pit
  • Information pack – ideas and leaflets for places to visit
  • Smart TV and free Wi-Fi

Is electricity included in the tariff?

Yes, electricity is all included

What cooking facilities are provided?

Small Kitchen which includes microwave, 2 cooking hobs, fridge, kettle and toaster. All crockery and cutlery are provided. Each cabin has a fire pit/BBQ outside.

What do I need to bring?

You can bring your own bedding and towels or add them to the booking

Can I order any extras?

Yes you can:

  • Double bedding- fitted sheet, pillows, duvet and covers and towels £25
  • Single bedding- fitted sheet, pillow, duvet and covers and towels £12.50
  • High chair -  Free
  • Travel cot £5 - bedding not included
  • Firewood bundle (included logs, kindling and matches) £12 - available to purchase onsite
  • Logs £8 - available to purchase onsite

Is there parking next to the Wigwam Cabins? If not how close is the parking area?

Yes, there is space for one car next to each Wigwam Cabin

By 10am on the day of departure

Do you have a shop/reception on-site and when is it open?

No, we do not have a shop/reception. Nearest shops are Elvington village stores (4 miles) and Pocklington market town (7 miles) for Sainsburys, Aldi and independent shops

How many toilets and showers do you have on-site?

Each Wigwam Cabin has an ensuite with shower

How close is the nearest pub or restaurant?

We have three good pubs for eating at:

  • Melbourne Arms – 3 miles
  • St Vincent arms at Sutton on Derwent – 3 miles
  • The Plough inn at Allerthorpe – 6 miles 
  • Pocklington is 7 miles away and has a Sainsburys and Aldi

How far is it from public transport 

  • York train station – 11 miles
  • Bus service – X36 York Pullman runs from York to Sutton on Derwent every 2 hours. We are a 3 mile walk from Sutton on Derwent

Yes, we have free Wi-Fi onsite and all the cabins have smart TV'S.
