How many Wigwam® Cabins does your site have?

Our site has several different accommodation types:

  • 2 Running Water Deluxe Wigwam® Cabins, one of which has a wood fired hot tub. (Sleeps up to 5 people).
  • 2 Running Water Superior Wigwam® Cabins these extra large cabins are fully wheelchair accessible and eligible for a discount for those with a blue badge. (Sleeps up to 5 people).
  • 3 Glamping Wigwam® Cabins, with glamping pack for 2 included. (Sleeps up to 5 people).
  • 5 Wigwam® Cabins, no pets. (Sleeps up to 5 people).
  • 4 Wigwam® cabins, dog friendly. (Sleeps up to 5 people).
  • 1 Sheiling Cabin with wood fired Hot Tub.  (Sleeps up to 4 people).
  • 1 Large Sheiling Cabin. (Sleeps up to 6 people).
  • 1 Shieling Cabin. (Sleeps up to 4 people).
  • 2 Wilderness Wigwam® Cabins, no electricity). (Sleeps up to 4 people on our Wilderness Campsite”).
  • 12 Camping pitches on our “Wilderness Campsite”

When is your site open?

The site is open 11 months of the year.

Do you allow dogs/pets? If so, is there a pet charge?

We accept dogs and pets in or pet friendly cabins, however there is a charge of £7.50 per animal per night. Not all accommodation is suitable for pets.

Is the site suitable for children?

Our site is a great place for children, with plenty of on-site activities and space for playing and exploring. However, as a working farm please be aware children must be supervised at all times.

As a natural area and working farm please be aware we are not a fenced site and young children can wander, please ensure you supervise your children.

Please be aware of natural hazards like stinging nettles, spiky plants, insects and natural environment including streams, uneven paths and inclines. Please take appropriate care and avoid potential dangers of the natural environment.

Children must not play in farm sheds or on any farm machinery.

Do you accept groups, parties or celebrations?

We can cater to all types of group, parties and celebrations. However group bookings must be booked by phone, please call and take advantage of our special group packages.

Only guests booked into accommodation can be onsite after 6pm.

Do you allow campfires?

Yes, we allow campfires. All our Wigwam® Cabins and Sheiling Lodges can be supplied with pre-booked fire pits. Only wood purchased on site can be used.

Be aware of fire dangers and always follow safety instructions and onsite rules with regard to fires.

What is included in one of your standard Wigwam® Cabins (i.e. mattresses, toaster, kettle etc.)?

Included in each of our Wigwam® Cabins you will find:

  • Memory foam mattress’
  • Toaster
  • Kettle
  • Fridge
  • Electric sockets
  • Heater
  • Lights

Is electricity included in the tariff?

No, there is a meter in each Wigwam®, which accepts £1/£2 coins.

What cooking facilities are provided?

For Wigwam® guests we have our 'Bothy” which is our communal kitchen. Inside you will find a large gas cooker with 2 ovens and a grill, large fridge, tables and seating, all crockery and cutlery, microwaves and toasters.

For Sheiling Cabins and Running Water Deluxe Cabins these have mini kitchenette within the cabin with 2 ring hob, microwave, kettle and toaster. Crockery, cutlery, glassware and saucepans.

For our “Wilderness Campsite” and Wilderness Cabins we have a wash up area at the camping shed and guests are advised to bring their own stoves and cooking equipment.

What do I need to bring?

We recommend that you to bring your own bedding with you or you can book this in advance.

A torch as our site is dark at night (beautiful skies).

Appropriate clothing so you can enjoy all weather!

A sense of adventure and a willingness to unplug from technology and reconnect with nature and each other!

A pack of cards.

Games and outside toys.

Free standing BBQ (no disposable BBQ)

Deck chairs/Camping chairs.

Picnic blanket.


First Aid kit (including plasters and insect sting cream)

Can I order any extras, and if so how much for each item?

At Wigwam® Holidays The Loft, East Grange there are many extras you can order including:

  • Glamping pack (£45 for 2 people)
  • Fire pit and one bag of wood (£12.50)
  • Single bedding pack (£12.50)
  • Double bedding pack (£25.00)
  • Single sheet (£5)
  • Sleeping bag (£10)

Is there parking next to the Wigwam® Cabins? If not, how close is the parking area?

No, we operate a pedestrian only policy onsite, however the car park is very near the Wigwam® Cabins and we have wheelbarrows for you to use to transport your belongings.

For our “Wilderness Campsite” there is parking close to/next to the tent pitches.

From what time can I check in?

Check in time is from 3pm. We will give access sooner if your accommodation is ready.

What is the latest time I can check in?

If you're arriving later than 4pm, please call to let us know and we will leave your welcome pack in the late arrival/early checkout box at reception. We request all guests have arrived before 10pm to minimise disruption of other guests on site.

What time do I need to vacate the Wigwam®?

Check-Out is at 10am.

Do you have a shop/reception onsite and when is it open?

We have a reception which is open 9am to 4pm every day in summer. At other time of year opening time may vary.

We do not have a shop but our nearest village has a SPAR shop (2 miles away) and the local towns of Forres (4 miles) and Elgin (8 miles) have a variety of large supermarkets including Tesco, Lidl, Aldi, Coop, Asda.

How many toilets and showers do you have onsite?

We have 6 showers and 10 toilets plus toilets and showers inside the Sheiling Cabins and Runing Water Cabins..

Wilderness Campsite: Please note we do not have a toilet and shower block located right at the Wilderness Campsite and toilets and showers are a short walk away. For families with small children we recommend a potty or camping toilet for night time requirements.

Do you have a family shower for babies?

Yes we have one family shower available, we do recommend bringing a baby bathtub if this is required.

Do I need to bring a cot?

Yes, if your baby needs a cot please ensure you bring a travel cot. Please be aware that this will restrict the floor space within your accommodation.

How close is the nearest pub/restaurant?

Kinloss (2 miles) has a pub and serves food (The Abbey Inn).

Findhorn (4 miles) has 2 pubs which serve great pub food next to the beach and a great coffee shops in the village and at the Findhorn Foundation.

Forres (4 miles) has lots of pubs and restaurants and lots of take-aways.

How far to the nearest supermarket?

The nearest supermarket is 4 miles away from the site in Forres but there is a SPAR 2 miles away at Kinloss for essentials.

How far is it from public transport?

The nearest public transport is 1/2 mile away at a rural bus stop. Forres (4 miles away) has a train station.

Is there WIFI access on site?

We have WIFI access in the Reception area.
