Whilst there is lots to do on site at The Loft with onsite games room, walking trails, nature trails and fairy trail there are plenty of things to do off site too!

Moray Speyside

Moray is an area of outstanding natural beauty and an abundance of outdoor fun, history, heritage and of course whisky!

Beaches! 

No visit to Moray would be complete without a beach visit. The Moray cost has some truly beautiful beaches that will please the beach comber, the walker, the sandcastle builder or the relaxed picnicker! Some of our favourites include Findhorn, Roseile, Culbin, Lossiemouth East Beach and West Beach, Hopeman and a few secret locations...along the coast. Where will your beach exploring days take you? The Moray Coast has so much to offer the beach lover.

Whisky Country

Moray Speyside is "Whisky Country" so a visit to a distillery may well be on your agenda during your visit. Check out some of the local whisky adventures to enjoyDid you know Moray Speyside has over 50 distilleries in a 60mile radius? That is a lot of whisky!

Cycling

Cycle paths and trails are another highlight of a visit to Moray Speyside. Check out the great routes available, here are some cycle routes to consider from urbanfreedon  and check our morayways website. The Dava Way also offers off road bike trails. We are also located right on National Cycle Route 1 so are ideally situated for cycling holidays and stop overs.

Mountain bikers are also spoilt for choice with fantastic cycle routes and trails at Sanquar Woods in Forres, Forrestry Commission trails (Monster Bike Trails).

Walking

Walking in Moray Speyside is a great treat and with lots of trails and landscapes to explore from forests, beaches, hills and moors you won't be disappointed. Moray Council also provides a list of walking and cycling routes to consider.

The Forestry Commission has great information and free maps to download for great adventures nearby with lots of beautiful forests to ecxplore.

Adventure & Nature

The local area has so much to offer from adventures on land, sea and river. Try surfing with New Wave Surf School, white water rafting and river adventures with Ace Adventure, try kart racing with Elgin Kart Raceway  or natural adventure and dolphin spotting with the fantastic North 58. If adventures on the sea are what you love then remember to check out Findhorn Marina where you can hire boats, windsurf and kayaks for a day of beach based water fun.

History

Castles, history and heritage can also be explored at nearby Brodie Castle, Cawdor Castle, Ballindalloch Castle and historic sites such as Culloden Moor are also within easy driving distance from The Loft and don't forget Nessie! A trip to Loch Ness is also a day treat during a stay at The Loft.
