It includes vital information regarding cancellation policies and the amenities and services available at the site, which will assist you with planning your holiday. Travel Insurance

We recommend that guests have an appropriate level of travel insurance in place for their needs.

Payment Policy

To secure your booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. We do not accept provisional bookings, so please do not make a booking unless you are in the position to honour it. Please contact us with any queries or if you prefer to make a telephone booking. Cancellation/No-Show Policy

In the event of cancellations or no-shows we do not offer any (either full or partial) refund. However, if more than 48 hours notice is given we may, at our discretion, offer an alternative date suitable to you only if we have the availability to do so.

Travel Insurance We strongly advise you to take out the appropriate levels of travel insurance so you can have peace of mind that your costs will be covered, should you need to cancel your holiday for any reason.

Farm Safety

Whilst we may take you on a farm tour, no one is permitted to visit the farm without permission. Please do not allow children to play on farm machinery. Gates should be left as found and the country code adhered to.

Things to Bring

Please remember to bring your own bedding unless you have hired some. You might also want to bring torch, matches and maybe walking boots/wellies, depending on the weather.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in the Wigwam Cabins or in any communal areas.

Dogs

Well behaved dogs are allowed on our site but owners must be responsible for them at all times. Animals are not allowed inside the amenity block and any damage caused by your dog will be chargeable.

Noise

Please be considerate of other Wigwam guests keep noise to a minimum after 10pm, take your party inside. If you do not adhere to this or any warnings police will be called. The main building toilets, showers, kitchen/diner and gamesroom is open for everyone's use 24 hours however, we do ask everyone is respectful of other guests. 

Group Bookings

Please contact the owners directly to organise parties or operate events.

Arrival/Departure Procedures

On arrival please call 07824770568, where we provide a contactless check-in. You can check in from 2:30pm onwards. Late night arrivals should telephone in advance to arrange. Departure: please check out by 10:30am. Whilst we clean all Wigwam Cabins and amenity areas we do ask that you leave the Wigwam Cabins tidy. Remove all rubbish to bins. No food should be left in the fridges. All dishes should be washed and dried and put away in the kitchen area.

Getting to us!

You can come (using our address below) via the A71 or A70 follow the brown signs for Hilly Cow Wigwams by car, any problems just give us a call and we can direct you.

You can come by train or bus to Kirknewton, we are a three mile walk from the village or a short taxi ride (taxi number: 01506 434343).

Hot Tub

Please fold back hot tub lid securely and if windy, remove lid safely. When hot tub is not in use, please reapply the lid fastening clips.

  • You use the hot tub at your own risk.
  • No children under 5 years are allowed in the hot tub. Children should not be in the hot tub for more 15 minutes at a time and must be supervised at all times. 
  • Children can only use the hot tub if parents deem it safe for them to do so.
  • Please shower before using the hot tub.
  • No fake tan or moisturiser should be worn in the hot tub.
  • Please be aware of slip risk around the hot tub with water spillage.
  • Long hair should be tied up out of reach of suction pumps.
  • Pregnant women are not advised to use the hot tub
  • Anyone with cardiovascular problems or that is immunosuppression is advised not to use the hot tub.
  • Please do not take any type of glass into the hot tub - only use plastic cups.
  • Smoking and vapes are prohibited in the hot tub.
  • We do not advise using the hot tub under the influence of alcohol.
  • No sexual acts should be performed within the hot tub.
  • No food should be eaten in the hot tub.
  • Common sense should be used with the hot tub lid, put it back firmly into folded position and/or remove completely, but must be replaced on hot tub when out of hot tub to maintain temperature.
  • Any damage to the hot tub will be paid for and failure to follow the rules may lead to the use of the hot tub being withdrawn.


Complaints Procedure

We take all comments from guests seriously and in the unlikely event that you wish to make a complaint you can contact us by telephone or email and we will respond. We will try to resolve any issues as soon as possible.

Code of Conduct

We expect all our visitors to respect and look after the site and the Wigwam you are staying in. We also require you to respect your fellow visitors and keep noise levels to a minimum after 10pm.

Parents are responsible for their children, as such children must be supervised at all times.
