Arriving from Stanhope (the west)
From the centre of Stanhope, continue through Stanhope past the market place and main shopping street. As you begin to exit Stanhope you will see a bus station & garage on the right, after the garage, at the bottom of a short hill there is a turning on the right. Take this turn. You will follow a narrow country road over a one way bridge, up a hill bearing sharp left onto the back road between Stanhope and Frosterely. Follow this one width road for a little over a mile. As the road begins to widen and white lines appear on a bend in the road there is a farm on the right. There is a turn on the right to a short tarmac drive with daffodils in the spring and old mans crowdy in the summer , lined with Ash trees. There is a Farm house on the right which is ours, and a bungalow on the left. The cabins are 50 yards up the farm track, through a wooden gate on the left.
Arriving from Frosterley (the east)
When you come into Frosterley, you will travel through the majority of the village, there is one main shop in Frosterley which is the Co-op and you will see it on the right hand side on a left bend in the road. The fish and chip shop is next door. As you travel past the Co-op and main car park round the left bend you will see ahead a bus stop on the left , stone built (not modern), immediately after that there is a turn on the left signposted White Kirkley. Take that turn, it leads down a bank to a set of traffic lights over a one way bridge for the river. You will see a pub facing the bridge (The Black Bull). About 50 yards after the bridge take a right turn, this takes you onto the back road between Frosterley and Stanhope. We are exactly one mile from this turn on the left hand side. Follow the road which narrows in a couple of places, but is generally double width with white road markings, as you approach the farm you will see a white road marking that says SLOW on the road, we are on the left, up a short tarmac drive with daffodils in the spring and old mans crowdy in the summer , lined with Ash trees. There is a house on the right which is ours, and a bungalow on the left. The cabins are 50 yards up the farm track, through a wooden gate on the left.
