You’ll find Rivendell Farm Glamping nestled in a valley all of its own, 1000ft above sea level in the Carmarthenshire Hills. The farm sits on 100 acres of beautiful, rolling Welsh countryside - what better place to get away from it all and get stuck into some serious R&R time? 

The site has 7 cosy wooden cabins, all with their own private hot tubs overlooking the luscious valley below - the perfect setting to relax and recharge your batteries. 

Enjoy walks down into the valley for a fresh perspective on the spectacular landscape. Adventure through towering ferns and dancing foxgloves as the forest comes alive with birdsong. After a long day of exploring, sit back and relax in your hot tub as you admire the vast starry skies to remind you of life’s rural charms.

Becky & Graham found their way to farming from other walks of life, but along the way have developed a love of the outdoor lifestyle, and can’t wait to welcome you to their peaceful corner of the country. Not that they are the only faces waiting to greet you…

Meet the animals

Rivendell is a small-scale working farm and is home to sheep, Highland cattle, as well as a small flock of goats, ducks, chickens, two mini ponies and a horse. A veritable menagerie!

Local Area

Although just a 20 minute drive away, Rivendell Farm Glamping feels a world apart from the historic town of Carmarthen. With its Roman origins and links to the Arthurian legend of Merlin, Carmarthen and the surrounding area are rich in stories and tradition. There are plenty of things to do and see in Carmarthen, including the street market selling everything from arts and crafts to locally produced meats, cheeses and cakes, the British Bird of Prey Centre, and Laugharne Castle.

If you prefer to explore the outdoors, Carmarthenshire combines striking coastal scenery with wooded river valleys, rolling hills and lakes perfect for adrenaline fueled adventures, scenic coastal walks and traditional seaside fun!

The site is open for 12 months of the year, however, please be aware that it gets very wet in Wales over winter so if you’re planning a winter break with us make sure you bring appropriate clothing and boots if you’re planning on exploring the farm.
Due to the fact that we are a working farm we do not allow pets at this time. 
You can park next to your Wigwam Cabin making unloading any luggage easy.
There are basic provisions available onsite and a small shop available at the local garage which is only 2 miles away.
The closest railway station is in Carmarthen which is about 10 miles or 20 minutes by car. There is a local bus which travels from Carmarthen to Aberystwyth / Lampeter and passes 1.5 miles from the site.
