What does it mean low noise policy on site?

Wigwam Holidays Ribble Valley is close to residential properties and has a site policy that was agreed with local planning authority, that its aim is to be a peaceful family location at which to enjoy your holiday. 

All music should be turned off from 10pm and conversation level noise only outside the cabins after 10pm.

The play park must not be used before 9am or after 9pm or dusk in the Winter months. You are responsible for children in your group at all times, including when they are in the play park.

We ask all our guests to follow these simple steps and respect our neighbours and other guests so everyone can relax and enjoy their time at Wigwam Holidays Ribble Valley.

Can guests have visitors to site?

Visitors of guests must be authorised prior to arrival at site and always call in at reception.   Visitors of guests must not be onsite at all between the hours of 10pm and 9am.  None other than named guest can occupy the Wigwam Cabins overnight unless authorised and paid in advance.

When is your site open?

All year round.

Do you allow dogs/pets? If so, is there a pet charge?

We allow dogs in 6 out of the 10 Wigwam Cabins. A tariff of £5 per night applies per dog maximum 2 dogs per cabin. Dogs MUST be kept on leads at all times in the cabins area, please check your area before leaving.

When sheep are in the fields please ask for details of where to take your dog/dogs for morning runs we have 90 acres of land and several walks nearby please ask us for details.

Is the site suitable for children?

Yes! We have lots of space for children to run around and play games alongside a small playground for under 12's and large playing field with football net.

Do you accept groups, parties or celebrations?

Group bookings can be taken from family and social groups with prior arrangement. No bookings will be taken from Hen and Stag Parties, this is a family site with a local planning requirement of 10pm quiet time and is not suitable for parties.

Do you allow campfires?

All our Wigwam Cabins come with firepits/BBQ's only firewood packs purchased from site can be used on the firepits, other campfires and use of own wood is not allowed on site.

Is smoking allowed in the cabins?

Smoking is not permitted in the cabins, there is space outside and we ask that you dispose of your spent cigarettes either in the bins provided or in the firepit.

What is included in one of your standard Wigwam Cabins?

Included in each of our Wigwam Cabins you will find:

  • All bedding for your stay - please strip your bedding at the end of your stay
  • Integrated shower room with walk-in shower, hand basin and toilet
  • Compact kitchen including 2 burner electric hob
  • Toaster, Kettle, Microwave, Fridge
  • Double Bed
  • Settee (making a second double bed)
  • Television/DVD
  • Lockable French Doors Leading on to Patio
  • Wall Heater
  • Cutlery, plates, glasses & mugs for 4 guests
  • Salt, Pepper and veg oil.
  • Pans
  • Hand Brush
  • Inside bin, please empty at the end of your stay and place in the bin store.
  • Fire pit/BBQ - for sole use with firewood pack from site

Is electricity included in the tariff?

Yes, our price is inclusive of electricity.

Can I charge an Electric Vehicle?

Yes we are able to offer a fast charging point that is lockable the key can be purchased from reception for £20 per charge. Only one vehicle can be charged with each £20 purchase.

What cooking facilities are provided?

Inside all our Wigwam Cabins is a small kitchen area and each Wigwam Cabin comes with an outdoor BBQ for use with wood purchased on site which can be used for cooking please ask for details.

What do I need to bring?

  • Washing up equipment (washing up liquid and a sponge is provided)
  • Toiletries

  • Appropriate footwear i.e. walking boots/wellies especially in winter (it is a farm)

Can I order any extras, if so how much for each item?

Is there parking next to the Wigwam Cabins? If not how close is the parking area?

We now have 2 cabins that have parking at the cabins, but the area around the cabins is stoned.

The area around the playground is for pick up and drop off only with the main parking approx. 125m away for the first 8 cabins.

From what time can I check in?

Check in is from 3.00pm.

What is the latest time I can check in?

7pm but if you are going to be later please let us know.

What time do I need to vacate the Wigwam Cabin?

Checkout is 10.30am prompt on the day of departure.

Do you have a shop/reception onsite and when is it open?

Small shop based in reception with fresh milk, toothpaste, tooth brushes, sweets, ice cream, etc open for guests from 3pm - 7pm

How many toilets and showers do you have onsite?

All cabins come with showers/toilets

How close is the nearest pub or restaurant?

The closest pub is 1.2 miles from the site by road which is family and dog friendly, there is also a pub approx. 40min walk from site that is family and dog friendly. There are lots of pubs, restaurants and takeaways within 5 miles of the site, the guide sent out at time of booking has lots of information on local eating establishments.  

How far to the nearest supermarket?

It is 2 miles to the local Spar in Langho, and 3.5 miles to Whalley which has a Co-op and Spar and 6 miles to the nearest large supermarkets at Great Harwood (Tesco, Morrisons, Aldi).

How far is it from public transport?

2 miles to train station with direct access to Manchester and Clitheroe.

400m to bus stop, but buses are quite infrequent.

Is there Wi-Fi access onsite?

Not at present very good 4G

Are your Wigwam Cabins warm?

The short answer is 'Yes!' Each Wigwam Cabin is fully heated with an electric heater in the main area and a heated towel rail in the bathroom included. The Wigwam Cabins are particularly well insulated and retain the heat. That is why our Wigwam Cabins can be booked 365 days per year.

How many guests can you fit inside a Wigwam Cabin?

Our Running Water Deluxe Wigwam Cabins have 2 double beds a family of five can be accommodated, if three children can fit across a double bed. They are also spacious enough to accommodate a travel cot.
