There’s loads to do on your glamping holiday at Wigwam Holidays® Orchard Stables. The glamping site is located within an equestrian centre in the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside, with easy access to great walks and interesting wildlife. Nearby, you will find a wide range of cultural experiences, including castles, a cathedral and National Trust houses.

Doddington Hall and Gardens

Take a tour of Doddington Hall where you will be guided through historically interesting artefacts, interiors and stories from 400 years of unbroken family ownership. The Elizabethan manor house is complemented by nurtured gardens showcasing vibrant colours all year round.

Lincoln Cathedral

This architectural masterpiece is one of Europe’s finest Gothic buildings. With the Norman invasion of Britain in the 11th century, William the Conqueror commissioned Remigius de Fécamp, the first Bishop of Lincoln, to construct this precious sanctuary. Despite its size, Lincoln cathedral is filled with intricate detail. There is something for everyone to see; even children love searching for the Lincoln Imp!

Whisby Garden Centre and Animal Park

Little ones love seeing, feeding and petting the friendly animals residing at Whisby Animal Park! In addition to the farm, there is an indoor children’s soft play barn, a cafe and an outdoor play area including slides, a zip wire, a beach and picnic area. The garden centre stocks a variety of treasures, along with plants and trees all year round.

RSPB Langford Lowfields

Walk 100m from Orchard Stables glamping site and you will find yourself immersed in wildlife at Langford Lowfields; a flagship partnership project involving the RSPB and Tarmac.  This thriving wetland habitat provides opportunities for wildlife spectacles all year round. Winter month highlights include large flocks of waterfowl, big starling roosts, barn owls, snipe, lapwing and peregrines. The warmer weather attracts warblers, cuckoos, marsh harriers, hobbies, sand martins and plenty of dragonflies and butterflies.

Outdoor Go Karting

An all-weather activity perfect for the adrenaline seeker! Elk Motorsport hosts an outdoor 1200m circuit with long straights and fast flowing bends. Jump in a twin-engineered kart that can reach speeds up to 60mph! It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner racer or a professional, this activity is suitable for all abilities if you are 14 years+.
