Going glamping with your dog can make your holidays easier – and more fun! Yorkshire is a fabulous destination for dog-friendly glamping thanks to the area’s many wonderful national parks and AONBs offering plenty of dog-friendly hikes, attractions, pubs, and accommodation options. Today, we’ll take a look at five dog-friendly glamping sites in Yorkshire. 


1. Ball Hall Farm, Storwood, York

For dog-friendly glamping near York, Ball Hall Farm is just the ticket. With glamping pods arranged around a wildlife pond and surrounded by peaceful woodlands, it’s the perfect spot for relaxation. There are nine ensuite glamping suites onsite as well as three accessible lodges for you and your dog to rest your weary heads at night. 

You can find a whole host of great dog-friendly walks within a stone’s throw of the glamping site. Among them is Allerthorpe Wood, a flat pine forest perfect for picnicking. Yorkshire Wolds is three miles away, offering hillwalking, stately homes, museums, and more. Pocklington is a nearby market town, with a range of shops, and dog-friendly restaurants and pubs.


2. Forcett Grange, Richmond, North Yorkshire

Forcett Grange is the winner of Best Glamping Destination 2023 in North Yorkshire, and it’s easy to see why. It’s a dog-friendly glamping site in Yorkshire with hot tubs, outdoor dining areas and BBQs with plenty to do on and around the site for both you and your dog.

The site is ideally located to explore popular spots like Richmond, Barnard Castle, and the Yorkshire Dales. The historic market town of Richmond is home to the striking Richmond Castle as well as pretty Georgian buildings, boutiques and restaurants. Apart from the Yorkshire Dales, the North York Moors and the North Pennines AONB are also within easy reach, offering great walks and hikes for all experience levels.

3. Grouse Hill, Whitby, North Yorkshire

4. Humble Bee Farm, Scarborough, North Yorkshire

Situated in a peaceful corner of the Wolds Valley, Humble Bee Farm offers an idyllic base for exploring North Yorkshire.
