Glasnakille Wigwams on Skye

Situated in the tiny village of Glasnakille, near the shores of Loch Scavaig, Glasnakille Wigwams are the ultimate tranquil escape. These secluded wooden cabins are the perfect choice for a romantic glamping holiday on the Isle of Skye or for anyone walking the Skye Trail.

Our Wigwam site is just two miles from the remote village of Elgol, where you'll find a local shop, which sells basic groceries and has WiFi access.

The shop currently opens Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm, and also sells filled rolls, home-baked goods, teas and coffees.

While in Elgol why not dine at Coruisk House or the newly opened restaurant, Elgol Bistro. Advance bookings only for Coruisk House.

As night falls, stargazing and planet spotting are a must, as we have beautiful starry skies over our site. We have spectacular glimpses of the Northern Lights at certain times of year. Remember to bring your binoculars and prepare to be wowed by the Milky Way and other dark sky delights.

There is a public bus that comes to Elgol and Glasnakille three times a day during the week (no bus service Saturday or Sunday).

The area surrounding Glasnakille Wigwams has numerous walking routes, suited for all abilities. Also popular are the chartered boat trips to Loch Coruisk, which you can enquire about when booking your Wigwam Cabin.
