How many Wigwams does your site have? 

We have 2 big chief wigwams and 2 wigwam lodges.

When is your site open?

 The lodges will be open all year and the big chief wigwams will be open April to November.

Do you allow dogs/pets? If so, is there a pet charge? 

Yes, up to a maximum of 2 charged at £1 per pet per night stayed. Pets must be kept on a lead at all times due to the site being on a working farm with sheep and lambs and other wildlife. The site has a dog walking field and a nature walk around the farm. Please pick up after your pets and keep them off the furniture/beds.

Is the site suitable for children (ie do you have a kid’s play area)?  

The site is suitable for children but does not have a children's play area however we do have a nature walk suitable for all ages, a swing ball tennis set, and other equipment available to use located in our welcome hut.

Do you accept groups, parties or celebrations? 

As we are a quiet site we are unable to accept group bookings for parties or celebrations.

Do you allow campfires? 

We do, fire pits with BBQ racks are available to hire with a tub of logs for £10 per night.

What is included in one of your standard Wigwams? (ie, mattresses, toaster, kettle etc) 

The Wigwam Cabins have:

  • As standard a double bed with mattress and sheet but other bed linen and towels need to be provided by the guest.  
  • Camping gas stove on a trolley outside, 
  • A log burning stove inside with a hotplate for boiling a kettle or cooking, 
  • Whistling kettle
  • Crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils
  • A cool box with ice blocks
  • Indoor table and chairs
  • Outdoor picnic bench
  • TV
  • Solar USB charging points for mobile phones etc.


 The Wigwam lodges have:

  • Bedlinen and towels provided as standard
  • 1 kingsize bed
  • 2 single beds 
  •  two 2 seater sofa's
  • A dining table with 4 chairs 
  • Kitchen with gas hob
  • A fridge with a freezer drawer
  • A log-burning range cooker with oven and hot plate
  • A whistling kettle

Is electricity included in the tariff?

The site is off-grid and all power is provided by solar which is included in the tariff.  Sensible use of the electricity is advised as if guests use to much they will run out of power until the solar system is able to recharge the batteries.

What cooking facilities are provided?

The Wigwam cabins have:

What do I need to bring? (bedding, pillows, crockery, cutlery etc)

If you are staying in the Wigwam Cabins, please bring - bedding, towels, toiletries 

We also recommend a good torch as the site is in a dark sky area and is unlit, wellies for walking round the nature walks on the farm.

Bedlinen and towels are provided as Standard in the Wigwam lodges

Is there parking next to the Wigwams? If not how close is the parking area?

If you are staying in the Wigwam Cabins  there is  parking within 50 metres of the pods next to the shower and toilet block

If you are staying in the Wigwam Lodges there is parking by the door.

Do you have a shop/reception onsite and when is it open?

 We have an unmanned welcome hut with information on local walks and things to do in the area.  We normally call around a couple of times a day to check on everyone and clean the showers and toilets.  If you need anything during your stay please do not hesitate to ask.

How many toilets and showers do you have onsite? 

The Wigwam Cabins have access to two showers and 2 toilets 

Do you have a family shower for babies? 

The shower rooms are large so can be used by more than one person at a time but do not have a baby changing table.

How close is the nearest pub or restaurant (miles)? 

St Mary’s Inn is 2 miles or a 25-minute walk from the site.

How far is it to the nearest supermarket (miles)? 

The Co-op is within 2.5 miles of the site.  Morpeth also has a large selection of other supermarkets, shops, restaurants, and takeaways 3 miles from the site.

How far is it from public transport (bus stop, railway station = xx miles away)?

Morpeth Train station is 2.5 miles from the site and Morpeth Bus station is 3 miles from the site.  You can walk into Morpeth from the site which takes around 45 minutes.

Is there WiFi access onsite? 

The Wigwam Lodges have wifi access

Do you provide recycling facilities?

 The site has paper, metal & plastic recycling bins located near the site entrance plus general waste bins.  As an eco-friendly site we encourage recycling as much of your waste as possible.  Unfortunately, we cannot take glass as Northumberland County Council does not provide a curbside glass collection service however there are glass recycling bins at The Sun Inn on the way into Morpeth.
