How many Wigwam® Cabins does your site have?

We have 5 Running Water Deluxe cabins which sleep 4 and one Wigwam® Lodge Accessible cabin which sleeps five.

When is your site open?

We are open all year round.

Do you allow dogs/pets?

Yes, we do allow dogs in some cabins and there is a small additional charge.

Is the site suitable for children?

Yes, very suitable for children with play area, large meadow, cycle trail and bikes to hire.

Do you accept groups, parties or celebrations?

Yes, we do, but do have rules to avoid disturbing other site users.

Do you allow campfires?

Yes, but with strict guidelines to use our own fire pits only and kindling / wood purchased from the on-site shop.

What is included in one of your standard Wigwam® Cabins?

Our Wigwam® Cabins include - mattresses, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery. Bedding, towels and other items are available to hire.

Is electricity included in the tariff?

Yes, electricity use is included.

What cooking facilities are provided?

All cabins have hobs and microwave ovens as well as a fridge. We also have an on-site café open everyday 9am-4pm.

What do I need to bring?

Crockery, cutlery, pans and cooking utensils are provided. Bring your own bedding and towels, or you can hire them.

Can I order any extras?

Yes, extras can be booked in advance, if something is missing please e-mail the team.

Is there parking next to the Wigwam® Cabins?

There is parking for one vehicle very close to each cabin. For any additional vehicles there is a car park on-site.

From what time can I check in from?

We accept check-ins from 2pm, however please e-mail the team if you would like to arrive earlier.

What is the latest time I can check in?

We expect arrivals before 5.30pm but can make arrangements for later check-ins, please let us know if this will be the case.

What time do I need to vacate the Wigwam® Cabin?

We expect the cabins are vacated by 12 noon, this can be extended depending on other bookings for a small charge, please contact the team in advance.

Do you have a shop/reception onsite and when is it open?

We have an on-site reception in the shop and on-site café, which can supply essentials, and this is open every day.

How many toilets and showers do you have onsite?

All our cabins have built-in ensuite toilets and showers.

Do you have a family shower for babies?

Each cabin has a small shower cubical, our accessible cabin has a larger wet room.

How close is the nearest pub or restaurant?

There are pubs that serve food in most of the surrounding villages, the nearest being about one mile away, local pubs are restaurants are listed in the welcome packs in each cabin.

How far is it to the nearest supermarket?

Nearest supermarket is in Bury St Edmunds (4 miles) but there is a village shop at 2 miles which can provide morning newspapers by 7am each day for a small charge which is available to book in extras.

How far is it from public transport ?

There is a bus stop adjacent to the site, but very limited rural services. Nearest train station is Bury St Edmunds (5 miles).

Is there WiFi access onsite?

Yes, each cabin has WiFi access.

Do the cabins have TV/DVDs?

Yes, all have TV/DVDs available.

Are there safe cycling routes from the site?

Definitely, yes. The site is on a huge network of quiet country roads, suitable for cycling and we can advise on routes of any distance. We also have cycles to hire, including bikes for youngsters, adults, experienced cyclists, a tandem and electric-assist bikes.

Apart from the glorious countryside and rural peacefulness what other attractions are available locally?

We are situated within easy travelling distance of many attractions, including the town of Bury St Edmunds with its famous Abbey Ruins and gardens, the Theatre Royal, museums, weekly markets and much more.

The historic village of Lavenham is just 12 miles away, as is Clare, and Newmarket with its world-famous horse-racing connections at a similar distance.

North of Bury St Edmunds there are outdoor pursuits such as segways, 4x4 driving experiences, clay pigeon shooting and Go Ape in Thetford and Elveden.
