Burravoe Wigwams - Shetland

Burravoe Wigwams are located in the village of Brae, in the north mainland of Shetland. Brae is the perfect place for a holiday in Shetland, being centrally located for visiting places of interest. There are lots of local amenities within walking distance, including a swimming pool and leisure centre, and the award-winning 'Frankie's' fish and chip shop.

Our Wigwam Cabins are a low cost, all year round alternative to hotels and B&Bs. Warm and comfortable, they offer more luxury than camping in a tent and are the perfect choice for a Shetland glamping holiday.

Our cosy wooden Wigwam Cabins are top of the range, 'Running Water Deluxe' models, which include en-suite toilet, shower facilities and also a mini kitchen. They are located in a tree plantation, which was planted in 2005, with over forty varieties of trees. It's a very secluded and private setting, with many guests commenting on its a very unique location for Shetland because of the shelter and trees.

There are also extensive garden grounds, which are open to the public in summer months. This is all part of our working croft, so you would be holidaying alongside cows, sheep, turkeys, dogs, hens and occasionally pigs. The hens are free range and wander around the tree plantation providing us with eggs, which we sell from an honesty box.

Outside there is a picnic/barbecue area with two large picnic tables. There's plenty of space for children to run and play safely within the enclosed tree plantation or at the beach, which is just a few minutes walk away.

We're open all year with a 2 night minimum stay.

Check in time is anytime after 2pm and check out by 10:00am.

Please note: As Burravoe Wigwams are located on a working croft, unfortunately no dogs are allowed on site.
