Do I need to bring bedding?

Yes, bedding is not included in the nightly tariff. We recommend bringing 2 single fitted sheets, pillows and a double duvet or sleeping bag per bed. We provide bedding packs as an extra. You can purchase these during the online booking process or directly with the site.

What time can I check in from?

2.30pm-5pm is our check-in window, however we also recognise work commitments can often make this impossible. Therefore please contact the site beforehand to arrange self-check-in, where we will send guests cabin directions and instructions. We kindly ask that you do not arrive before 2.30pm as your cabin may not be ready.

What time do I need to vacate the Wigwam cabin?

We ask everyone to vacate their Wigwam Cabin by 10am prompt.

When is your site open?

All year round except for a few dates, including around Christmas 2023.

CLOSED: 23rd - 27th December 2023, and closed for check-ins on 1st January 2024.

Do you allow dogs/pets? If so, is there a pet charge?

Yes. Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome in each cabin for an additional charge of £10 per dog per night. We have six dog-friendly Wigwam Cabins in total, all with a gated enclosed decking area. We have 2 dog poo bins on site and ask that you pick up and dispose of your pet's poo in these bins. Dogs must remain on leads at all times in spaces where livestock is present. 

Is the site suitable for children?

Yes, the site is very suitable for children with a number of open grassy spaces and facilities, including:

  • Kids Fishing

  • Play park and ‘chill out’ tipi den

  • Giant games

  • Fairy village and Fairy trail

  • Pond Dipping

  • Grassed Areas

  • DVD/book/games lending library

Do you accept groups, parties or celebrations?

We accept all types of groups. Group bookings must be made directly with the site (brampton@wigwamholidays.com / 01697 741115).

Do you allow campfires?

Only using the provided Fire Pits. All our Wigwam Cabins come with a fire pit and swing BBQ grill. Disposable/portable BBQ's are not permitted onsite. You can purchase charcoal and fire bundles from the tackle shop/reception. 

What is included in one your standard Wigwam Cabins (i.e. mattresses, toaster, kettle etc.)?

Included in each of our Wigwam Cabins you will find:

What cooking facilities are provided?

Inside all our Wigwam Cabins is a small kitchen area with 2 electric hobs, a microwave, toaster and kettle. Each Wigwam also comes with an outdoor Firepit with BBQ swing grill. 

What do I need to bring?

For your stay at Wigwam Holidays Brampton you will need to bring with you:

  • Bedding (can be ordered as an extra)

  • Towels (can be ordered as an extra)

  • Sharp kitchen knife

  • Torch

  • Rainy weather attire

  • Food and drink

Can I order any extras, and if so how much for each item?

At Wigwam Holidays Brampton there is a number of extras you can order – all are listed under the Extras tab.

Is there parking next to the Wigwam Cabins? If not, how close is the parking area?

No, we operate a pedestrians-only policy near the cabins, however, there is parking located within walking distance of the Wigwam Cabins. If you or any of your party has physical disabilities please call Claire on 07719645992 and we will do our best to locate you as close to the drop-off zones as possible.

Do you have a shop/reception and when is it open?

Yes, the tackle shop acts as a reception and is open 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week. The shop is located in the main car park. 

Is there WiFi access on site?

We don't have any WiFi facilities in the Wigwam Cabins as we encourage guests to get "off grid", but we do have WiFi access outside the shop- it is free of charge. There is also good 4G on site.

Is there a cafe onsite?

Yes, Bite Cafe and Tearooms are located on-site. Please contact David and Linda directly, for their opening times and bookings- 01697 742235.

How close is the nearest pub or restaurant?

The nearest pub is The Howard Arms, approx 1.6 miles away in Brampton. The Duke of Cumberland is approx 4.8 miles away in Castle Carrock. 

How far to the nearest supermarket?

The nearest supermarket is Co-op, approx 1.3miles away in Brampton. There is also two Spar's, a health food shop and Cranstons Foodhall (Cumbrian produce and meat counter) in the town centre. 

How far is the site it from public transport?

You can find the nearest bus stop 1mile away at The Sands. To find it, walk down the road towards Brampton (685 – Hexham-Carlisle). Brampton train station is located 2.2miles away- https://goo.gl/maps/oYx3RB8AzaX8pYvHA with hourly trains to Newcastle and Carlisle.
