Glamping at Wigwam® Holidays Brampton means you don’t have to venture far from your glamping cabin to find things to do. Take a stroll around our site, follow our fairy trail or meet our sheep and silky chickens. Your little minnows can even try out fishing on the fun fishing pond or spend time pond dipping in our beck. We have giant chess and connect 4 for the competitive ones among you, and fly fishing for the more experienced angler. 

After a full day of playing, exploring, relaxing and fishing, relax on your own decked patio and cook from an open fire, before indulging yourself in our wood-fired hot tubs. Six of our cabins are dog-friendly with enclosed decks, we welcome your pooches on-site.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, bedding and towels are not included in the nightly tariff. We recommend bringing 2 single fitted sheets, pillows and a double duvet or sleeping bag per bed. Bedding and towel packs are available to purchase as an extra, either during the online booking process or directly with the site.
3pm-5pm is our check-in window, however we also recognise work commitments can often make this impossible. Therefore please contact the site beforehand to arrange self-check-in, where we will send guests cabin directions and instructions. We kindly ask that you do not arrive before 3pm as your cabin may not be ready.
We ask everyone to vacate their Wigwam Cabin by 10am prompt.

All year round. Please note that we may be closed for check-ins on days like Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Yes. Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome in each cabin for an additional charge of £10 per dog per night. We have six dog-friendly Wigwam Cabins in total, all with a gated enclosed decking area. We have 2 dog poo bins on site and ask that you pick up and dispose of your pet's poo in these bins. Dogs must remain on leads at all times in spaces where livestock is present.

Yes, only using the provided Fire Pits. All our Wigwam Cabins come with a fire pit and swing BBQ grill. Disposable/portable BBQ's are not permitted onsite. You can purchase charcoal and fire bundles from the tackle shop/reception.

Inside all our Wigwam Cabins is a small kitchen area with 2 electric hobs, a microwave, toaster and kettle. Each Wigwam also comes with an outdoor Firepit with BBQ swing grill.

No, we operate a pedestrians-only policy near the cabins, however, there is parking located within walking distance of the Wigwam Cabins. If you or any of your party has physical disabilities please contact the site (01697 741115) and we will do our best to locate you as close to your cabins are possible.
Yes, the tackle shop acts as a reception and is open 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week. The shop is located in the main car park.
We don't have any WiFi facilities in the Wigwam Cabins as we encourage guests to get "off grid", but we do have WiFi access outside the shop- it is free of charge. There is also good 4G on site.

Yes. Please note the cafe will be closed until Spring 2024 while we refurbish and plan our exciting reopening. 

The nearest pub is The Howard Arms, approx 1.6 miles away in Brampton. The Duke of Cumberland is approx 4.8 miles away in Castle Carrock, both are lovely pubs that are dog-friendly.
The nearest supermarket is Co-op, approx 1.3miles away in Brampton. There is also two Spar's, a health food shop and Cranstons Foodhall (Cumbrian produce and meat counter) in the town centre.

You can find the nearest bus stop 1mile away at The Sands. To find it, walk down the road towards Brampton (685 – Hexham-Carlisle). Brampton train station is located 2.2miles away- https://goo.gl/maps/oYx3RB8AzaX8pYvHA with hourly trains to Newcastle and Carlisle.
