Brampton Wigwams

Set within 7 acres of tranquil rolling countryside at New Mills Trout Fishing Park, a working trout farm and fishery. We have 6 top of the range deluxe fully en-suite wigwams, which comfortably sleep up to 4 people. Bordered by ancient oak trees, each wigwam has an elevated position above either the Quarry Beck, which runs through the Park, or the Fun Fishing Pond. Whichever your location, you will be surrounded by stunning scenery with incredible views.

The Park is centred upon an historic 17th Century Corn Mill, which was originally part of the Howard Family's Naworth Castle Estate. Since the 1980's the Park has been a Mecca for anglers, both novice and professional. In 2012 the Goode Family took over the Park and started a major programme of upgrades, aimed at making New Mills a centre of family tourism excellence.

The Park is located close to Hadrian's Wall, a World Heritage Site; the 13th Century Lanercost Priory, with its beautifully preserved cloisters; Talkin Tarn Country Park; the market town of Brampton; the historic border city of Carlisle; and we are lucky to have the Lake District, Scotland, the Solway Coast, Northumberland and the North East of England, just a short drive away. Whichever direction you head, there is something for everyone.

The sleepy market town of Brampton can be easily reached on foot (15 minutes walk) or a 2 minute drive. It is well regarded for its local Farmers Market, which is held on the last Saturday of every month. Amongst a good selection of shops, you will find a well stocked Cooperative Store, two excellent butchers, grocer, baker, post office, pubs, restaurants, various coffee shops and a wine bar.

In addition to those looking to stay in a wigwam and enjoy the fishing facilities, we are also perfectly located for walkers and cyclists, who are using the nearby Hadrian's Wall Path or Route 72 Hadrian's Cycleway. For these guests who are travelling light, we are able to provide bedding and towel packs, as an optional extra. In addition, collection from your position on the Hadrian's Wall, can be provided by prior arrangement.
