Strathfillan Wigwams are situated on Scottish Agricultural College's working hill and mountain research farm. Located on the A82 three miles north of Crianlarich, thirty minutes south of Glencoe Ski-Centre 1 hour from Aonach Mhor Fort William.

Strathfillan Wigwams is situated on a working farm in the heart of the West Highlands between Crianlarich and Tyndrum within the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.

Wigwams

GO WILD GO WIGWAM

The Wigwams are comfortably equipped with foam mattresses and each unit has electricity for light, heating and personal electrical equipment. Bring your own sleeping bags etc, though linen can be hired at an extra cost.

Large Wigwam:

Sleeps 4/5 on benches with electric light and heating, small fridge and power points. The electicity is not metered in the wigwams.:

Small Wigwam:

Sleeps 4 with mattresses on the floor.Electric light ,heating and power points.

Each wigwam has its own car park , picnic bench and campfire. Logs,kindling and Peat available in the farm shop.
Try some of our fantastic sausages (wild boar, ostrich, kangaroo, water buffalo, bison,venison or highland beef)cook them on your camp fire.
We are surrounded by spectacular views and within easy reach of dozens of Munros including Ben More, Ben Lui, Ben Challum and Ben Oss. Strathfillan Wigwams makes an ideal location for a single night, weekend or a week's let for families or groups. Wigwam Holidays

An ideal base for hill walking, touring in Argyll and west Perthshire, canoeing, fishing, skiing in Glencoe or Fort William, or use us as a staging post for ventures to the further north of Scotland. The site sits next to the West Highland Way and is a perfect base for walking the central section.

In addition to wigwams, the site also has self catering lodges and plenty of space for camping and caravans. Camping £6/adult per night £3/child, £3/pets. Same rate for caravans plus £3/night for use of Hook-up. We are now letting Kirkton Farmhouse, suitable for groups , sleeps up to 12

Strathfillan Wigwams is based alongside woodlands, waterfalls, fields and mountains, where you are free to wander and explore. Fishing permits available for the River Fillan.

ARRIVAL TIMES AT STRATHFILLAN WIGWAMS ARE NORMALLY FROM 2PM UNTIL 8PM AND DEPARTURE IS BY 10.30AM

However outwith this period arrival time may be arranged at the discretion of the manager.

Lodges

We have five lodges ideal for family, groups or couples wanting a relaxing break from rush of life. Buffalo, Bald Eagle and Firewater all have separate bedrooms, a lounge area with TV and kitchen, shower and toilet facilities. Beaver is our deluxe wigwam with one room offering sleeping space for 5 plus the luxury of kitchen, toilet , shower facilities & TV

Wigwam Yurts

Strathfillan Wigwams can now offer wigwam-yurts NEW for Aug 2008
The Wigwam-Yurt is based on the traditional Mongolian yurt but fitted out to our popular wigwam specification, our wigwam-yurt offers:

Insulated wooden floor
Comfy foam mattresses
Sleeping platforms
Lockable door
Wood burning stove
Electric light

It can accommodate small groups, families, couples or individuals and provides a perfect relaxing holiday. Sleeps 5.

Large wigwam £33.00 per night (based on two sharing) and £10.00/ adult, £8.00/ child extra. Sleeps 5.
Weekly prices available from £190 based on 2 sharing supplement of £20/ person thereafter

Lodges:

Bald Eagle Lodge,Buffalo Lodge, Firewater Lodge and Beaver Lodge from £190 to £400 per week
Also available for short breaks from £55 per night Firewater Lodge & Beaver Lodge or £65 per night Bald Eagle Lodge & Buffalo Lodge based on 2 sharing. Apache Lodge (No facilities) £45/ night for 2 sharing. All Lodges £10/ extra adult £8/ child.

Wigwam Yurts:

£55 for 2 people and £10 per extra adult and £8 per child. Sleeps 5.
