Before confirming your booking at Wigwam Holidays Chawton Park Farm please take the time to read the information below. It includes vital information regarding cancellation policies and the amenities and services available at the Site, which will assist you with planning your holiday.

Payment Policy:

To secure your booking payment in full is required at the time of booking; we do not accept provisional bookings so please do not make a booking unless you are in the position to honour it. A full refund is available up until 5 days before arrival.

Cancellation/No-Show Policy:

A full refund is available up until 5 days before arrival.

The above terms and conditions only apply to bookings that are made online at www.wigwamholidays.com. Bookings made directly with the site owner may be subject to individual and separately agreed terms.

Travel Insurance:

We strongly advise you to take out the appropriate levels of travel insurance so you can have peace of mind that your costs will be covered, should you need to cancel your holiday for any reason.We recommend that guests have an appropriate level of travel insurance in place for their needs.

Farm Safety:

Please do not visit the farm without prior permission. Children must be supervised at all times, including in the car park. Please do not allow children to play on farm machinery, wood piles or hay stacks,  climb over gates or fences or use the car park as a play area.  Please keep to the public rights of way. Gates should be left as found and the Country Code adhered to. Please do not approach the animals unless accompanied by staff. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and hot water after coming into contact with animals. If invited to feed orphan lambs, please let staff know if you are, or could be, pregnant and keep away from ewes and lambs due to the potential infection risk.  Please be aware of the risk of ticks in the countryside, especially if walking in long grass or woodland areas.

Smoking:

Smoking is not permitted in the Wigwam Cabins or in any communal areas.

Dogs:

Well behaved dogs are welcome and must be booked in advance. They must be kept on a lead or stake at all times. Owners are expected to clean up after their dogs and use the bins provided. No dangerous breeds allowed (list25.com/25-most-dangerous-dog-breeds & Dangerous Dog Act 1991). Please remember that Chawton Park is a working farm with sheep and deer grazing in close proximity to the Wigwam Cabins. Any damage caused by your dog will be chargeable. Please do not leave your dog unattended. Failure to comply with these rules will result in you being asked to leave the site and no refunds will be given.

Group Bookings:

Please contact us directly for our policy relating to group bookings.

Wheelchair Access

The Wigwam Cabins are not current accessible for wheelchair users.

Arrival/Departure Procedures:

You can check in from 3pm.  Please check out by 10am prompt. All Wigwam Cabins are cleaned after each check out but we ask that you leave them tidy and clean. No food should be left in the fridges. All cutlery and crockery should be washed and dried and put away in the box provided. Please remove all litter from the Wigwam Cabin and dispose of it in the commercial bins and recycling containers provided on site. Please turn off all lights and heating before you leave.

Complaints Procedure:

We take all comments from guests seriously and in the unlikely event that you wish to make a complaint you can contact us by telephone on 01420 82634/ 07771 922866 or email chawtonparkfarm@wigwamholidays.com and we will respond. Please highlight any concerns immediately so that we may have the opportunity to resolve any issues as soon as possible.

Code of Conduct:

We expect all our Visitors to respect and look after the Site and the Wigwam Cabin you are staying in. We are a Low Noise Policy Site and require you to respect your fellow Visitors and keep noise levels to a minimum and particularly after 9.30pm. Music is not permitted on site. Chinese lanterns are not permitted on site as they pose a threat to livestock and wildlife.

Parents are responsible for their children, and they must be supervised at all times. If children come into contact with farm animals or feed the lambs (with permission only), please ensure that they wash their hands.

Campfires:

Only the complimentary Chawton Park fire pits are allowed on site and only timber supplied by us can be used. Please do not use lighter fuel - everything you need to start the fire is provided with the fire pack.  Please do not use branches, debris or other items on the fire pits and ensure that you read the instructions provided before use. Please do not move the fire pits from their position. Please do not use pans from the 'Pan Pack' for cooking on the fire pit.  If using the fire pit, please supervise children closely at all times, use the gloves provided and don’t leave a fire pit unsupervised while alight. Please extinguish and replace the cover when not in use.

Property/Contents:

Please ensure that you take all reasonable care in the use of Wigwam Holidays Chawton Park Farm property and contents. Report any damages as they occur. We reserve the right to charge for any replacements or repairs. Please do not flush wipes, sanitary waste, nappies or cloths down the toilets as the site is not on mains drainage. These items must be wrapped and put in the bin provided. Any items left behind in a Wigwam Cabin must be claimed within two weeks of departure. All electrical installations,  appliances and fire extinguishers  are tested regularly by qualified electrical and fire safety contractors. Please do not interfere with this equipment, keep children away from electrical appliances and don’t allow them to play with the fire safety equipment.

Loss, damage or injury:

Chawton Park Farm takes no responsibility for loss, damage, or injury to you or any of your party or property. We recommend that you have adequate travel and property insurance. We reserve the right to ask guests who are not observing the conditions to leave without refunds and with immediate effect.
