Explore natural beauty near Aberystwyth

Glamping in Aberystwyth means you’ve got the stunning Rheidol Valley right at your doorstep, offering lovely walks, cycling and fishing. The Devil's Bridge Waterfalls and Nature Trails make for another great destination for walkers, with 300ft waterfalls and bridges over the beautiful woodland gorge - your Instagram grid won’t know what hit it!

Looking for a long-distance hike? You can access the 60-mile long Ceredigion Coast Path seven miles from the glamping site for varied landscape and views over the UK's first Marine Heritage Coast and the Cardigan Bay Special Area of Conservation.

For a slightly different way to enjoy the great outdoors, head to the Rheidol Riding Centre two miles from the site where you can take lessons as well as go on longer rides through the Cambrian mountains. Bwlch Nant yr Arian eight miles from the site offers a variety of mountain biking tracks through forests and hills, and you can also take part in feeding some red kites for a truly unique day out. 

Family favourites for days out

If you’re looking for some fun activities for the whole family during your glamping break in Mid Wales, you’re in luck as the Aberystwyth region is rich with possibilities. The Silver Mountain Experience is eight miles from your glamping site, combining history with local myths for an enthralling day out. For older kids, a visit to the nearby escape room could be another fun activity.

A trip to the nearby town of Aberystwyth offers loads to do for the whole family, from trips to the cinema to the sights and sounds of the Royal Pier offering yummy food and an amusement arcade. For some fun on the water, take a surfing class or hire kayaks with Aber Adventures.

Where to eat & drink in Aberystwyth

What’s a holiday without some delicious food and drink? Despite its wonderfully remote and peaceful location, there are many options for eating out near Wigwam Holidays Aberystwyth. The nearest is the Halfway Inn in Pisgah, a friendly traditional pub with high-quality food just one mile from the site. Meanwhile, the Woodlands Tea Room four miles from the site serves all-day breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and fish and chips.

For atmospheric dinners by candlelight, head to the wonderfully rustic Tafarn y Maes 3.5 miles from the site. The lamb burger and sticky toffee pudding are both popular options, and the restaurant has an impressive selection of beer and wine. Or, if you fancy a takeout, Shilam Tandoori Restaurant seven miles from the site offers delivery as well as sit-in dinner.
