Wigwams on Tehidy Holiday Park in Cornwall
Voted best small site in UK 2012, Tehidy Holiday Park offers Cottages, Holiday Caravans, Wigwams and Camping Touring Pitches, each set in an area of their own. Our multi award winning site is set in a beautiful wooded valley in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We moved here in 2007, after many years of dreaming about a life style change, researching sites and carefully selecting ones of interest. We found Tehidy Holiday Park and that was the decision made.
Location
Our truly enviable position is approximately mid way between St Ives and St Agnes, only 2 miles from the dramatic and beautiful Cornish Coast boasting a huge choice of sandy beaches and coves with rock pools, marine wildlife such as dolphins, seals in one of the richest marine environments in Europe. Gardens, Heritage Sites, Walks and Cycle Routes abound. Several walks start from site and the famous coast to coast cycle route begins from our local beach. After two weeks you'll only just be starting to scratch the surface of what our amazing corner of Cornwall has to offer. Bring your walking shoes and bikes if you're into exploring, we are surrounded by some great routes. Breaking News...... We have been awarded a 2011 David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award. The report for this award stated that: "[Tehidy is]... a park worthy to be called a model for the David Bellamy Conservation Award Scheme".
Facilities
All pitches are hedged or fenced to create your own snug.
Wigwams are sited on a beautiful field, surrounded by Cornish hedges and trees, have amazing views and sunsets, with an access road through it.
Wigwammers also have their own personal bbq set up on their pitch and a beautiful communal hexagonal cooking shelter, with seating for up to 12. Now nothing can dampen your appetite. Happy cooking!
Water, general rubbish, recycling and fire points are conveniently placed, as are picnic benches.
The solar heated shower block is close to hand and has free showers, a dish washing room, laundry and a family room for parents with children under 3yrs.
The play area is well equipped and includes swings, trampoline, table tennis basket ball hoop and games / chill out tv room.
The site shop is also the reception and we stock local produce and basic groceries.
WiFi is free.
