Site Description

Our site has facilities specifically catering for walkers and cyclists who are using Hadrian's wall path or cycle route and looking for a campsite with a modern attitude towards outdoor pursuits. We have the latest designs in self catering and camping log cabins.

We are situated 500yds SW of the village of Beaumont 3.5 miles from Carlisle and 8 miles from Bowness on Solway. Both the path and cycle route pass through this village. The Drovers Rest pub and restaurant at Monkhill is 300 yards from our site.

Our modern accommodation comprises:

Shieling

This self catering cabin is fully equipped for four people with a dining room kitchen, bathroom, heating and T.V.

Wigwam

These are camping cabins for those who want a little more comfort than traditional Camping. They are equipped with heating, lighting, T.V. and some cooking facilities.

Tents

There secluded camping bays for ten tents of any size which will have individual barbecue areas.

If you are fed up (as we are) with communal toilets and showers, we have high quality self-contained heated bathrooms for campers and cabin users. These will use the latest energy saving methods available as will all parts of the campsite.

There is a shop and café on-site for breakfasts. When the café is not open the room will still be open as a rest room and library. Packed lunches can be provided. A drying room, bike storage and bike shower will also be available.
