Loch Tay Highland Lodges is situated in central Perthsire, a simply beautiful location in the foothills of the National Trust Ben Lawers mountain range and amidst the breathtaking scenery of Loch Tay. Open all year, our wigwams offer a cosy, budget accommodation option and are located in a quiet, south facing, scenic area of the park. Sleeping up to 4 people.

 

The park is ideally located both for a short break or week long holiday and as a stop over for touring Scotland as we are centrally situated being just 1 1/2 to 2 hours drive from Glasgow , Edinburgh and the West Coast.

 

We have much to offer including our on-site Boathouse Restaurant & Bar, located overlooking the loch with large sun decks and welcoming open fire for cooler days. The menu offers delicious home -cooked fayre with a specials board at weekends. Families are very welcome.

 

On site there are several types of activity available and these include boat hire for salmon and trout fishing and pleasure cruising, fly fishing instruction, sailing instruction, canoe and mountain bike hire and archery. We also have an 18 hole putting green and a two mile circular hill track with wonderful views of the loch and surrounding mountains. Our on site activity provider can also organise other activities in the area such as quad biking, canyoning, clay shooting etc.

Attractions

There are several golf courses in the area, the nearest at Killin which is 3 miles from the park and another 5 courses within an hours' drive, including a challenging 18 hole course set in the beautiful grounds of Taymouth Castle just 20 minutes away. A hill-walkers' paradise, there are several munros in the near vicinity and the magnificent Glen Coe an easy drive.

Wildlife enthusiasts will delight in the red squirrels and roe deer frequently seen on the park along with a wide variety of bird life including buzzard, black cock and an osprey which has returned once again this year to nest nearby.

For shopping enthusiasts there is luxury shopping to be had at the Courtyard outlet at Kenmore and the House of Bruar, Blair Atholl. There are many castles and distilleries in the area which are well worth a visit.
