Site Description

For a holiday with a difference, bring your little Indians to our unique Big Chief Wigwams! Our site nestles in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds and is close to the Yorkshire Coast and numerous visitor attractions. We're located close to Scarborough, Whitby and Filey - all of which are great for surfing, mountain biking and rambling!

Our Wigwams sleep a maximum of five people, and they are open all year round. They're within easy reach of off-site facilities, including pubs, takeaways and attractions.

Call in at the farm shop for your barbecue essentials and set up camp! Wigwam visitors can enjoy our Humble Bee Farm walks and make use of our new shower block, including family shower area, baby changing and with disabled access. For cooler nights, we have fire pits available for hire with wood.

Join us down on the farm and meet lots of farmyard friends. Collect a fresh egg for breakfast and enjoy this peaceful rural haven. There is also a children's play area and farm walks. Also, we are dog friendly (please enquire for details) and our site includes a dog walking area.

We have an events calendar for 2014, including Lambing and Calving Weekends, Mothers Day, Star Gazing, Cowboys and Indians and much, much more. Please note: Any events which may take place during your stay at Humble Bee Farm are open to Humble Bee Farm guests only, thank you.

Merchandise: We have a selection of Wigwam merchandise available from reception, including: T-shirts, Indian Headdresses, fridge magnets and keyrings. These are ideal gifts to take home.

Humble Bee Farm is a relaxed, peaceful location, ideal for a tranquil holiday. We hope you enjoy your stay with us!

We have eight Wigwams (in two sections, containing four Wigwams each), along with two shower and toilet blocks. Each Wigwam sleeps up to five guests.

For group bookings (i.e., two Wigwams or more), please contact Humble Bee Farm on 01723 890437.

Our Wigwams, toilet and shower facilities and shop/reception are strictly NO SMOKING. Thank you.

Bookings: Arrivals 1pm to 5pm - if you are going to arrive after 5pm, please let us know. Departure on last day - strictly by 10am. Subletting of Wigwams is strictly forbidden.

Our tariff covers you for the number of guests/dogs discussed at the time of booking. Additional guests may be added providing we have notice and space. Day guests are permitted at Humble Bee Farm but MUST sign in at reception and leave their car in the car park.

We do not give refunds on any bookings made at the Humble Bee Wigwams under any circumstances. However, should more than one month's notice be given, and only if we are able to fill the number of nights you originally booked, we will try to offer you an alternative date.

Alternative dates, if available, will be offered for up to six months from the cancelled date (i.e., a cancelled booking in June 2012 would be honoured up until December 2012). You can transfer the fee to an alternative type of accommodation: Humble Bee Cottages, Wigwams, campsite or to St Kitts, our holiday apartment in Filey. If a booking is cancelled, and you have an outstanding balance, then you will be liable to pay the remaining monies.

We recommend you take out holiday insurance to cover such eventualities. In the event of a cancellation being made by the customer, the customer is liable to a £10 administration fee. In the event of a cancellation by us, our liability shall be limited to the return in full the monies paid.

We regret that in the event of a guest leaving early for any reason, NO REFUNDS will be given. May we remind you that your booking is a legally binding contract and in the event of cancellation or curtailment, no refund will be given. This also applies to adverse weather conditions, over which we have no control. Therefore if you choose to cancel your booking due to weather, no refunds will be offered.

    Damages or breakages:
Please note any damage to site facilities or to a Wigwam, including when a Wigwam is left in an unsatisfactory state, will incur additional charges.

Any items left behind in a Wigwam must be claimed within two weeks of departure. If relevant, postage and packing charges for the return of goods will apply.

Guests are NOT permitted to remove any of the Wigwam's provided furniture. Please ensure you leave your Wigwam in a clean and tidy state.

    Age restrictions:
We do not accept bookings from unaccompanied adults aged 21 or under. Please see our additional Terms and Conditions for any group bookings we may accept.
