The Strathfillan Wigwam Village sits on a working farm in Scotland's West Highlands, amidst the wooded glens of Trossachs National Park and near the famous Loch Lomond, making it the perfect spot for glamping in the Highlands. 

Surrounded by thick forests, wildflowers and chirping songbirds, a glamping holiday in Strathfillan the perfect way to experience the majestic nature of the Highlands and enjoy some time to yourself among loved ones.

Enjoy quality time reconnecting with nature in one of our Wigwam camping pods and don’t worry about leaving the family pet behind: you’re welcome to bring your dog to the Strathfillan Wigwam village! 

We pride ourselves for being a family friendly glamping destination, with little ones being able to enjoy meeting some of the chickens and Highland cows on the farm or venturing out for some fishing or panning for gold near the campsite.

What to do on your glamping break at Strathfillan Wigwam Village

The Trossachs National Park is famous the world over for its breathtaking views of the largest lake in Britain, snow-capped mountains and lush woodlands. The Strathfillan Wigwam cabins make for the perfect basecamp for discovering the incredible natural beauty of this area.

From our campsite, you can take a picturesque woodland walk leading down to a waterfall. It's easy to spend hours relaxing by the babbling River Allt Auchtertyre, so make sure to pack a picnic! You can cycle around the tracks near the campsite or try your hand at fishing for extra enjoyment.

If you're interested in venturing further afield from the Wigwam Village, public transport is available either by coach or train from the villages of Crianlarich and Tyndrum. From there, you can continue on for a day out on the bonny banks of Loch Lomond or to the Ben Lui Nature Reserve to scale some munros or spot some beautiful deer amongst the moss and lichen of the steep mountainsides.

After a day of exploring, you can cook delicious dinner over your campfire. We suggest trying our delicious sausages, which you can purchase from the on-site farm shop along with other supplies. Choose from exotic wild boar, ostrich, kangaroo and venison sausages. Or, if you're feeling extra adventurous, go for the camel or zebra steaks!
