During its Year of Adventure, Wales is fast becoming a tourist hot spot and one of the key attractions is the Royal Welsh Show.
The four-day spectacle (18th to 21st July inclusive) takes place at Llanelwedd, Builth Wells, Powys and celebrates Welsh and British agriculture at its best.
If you’ve visited agricultural shows before, then you’ll know that 7,000 entries (in 2015) for the livestock classes is simply vast! Such is the popularity of the Royal Welsh with farmers and breeders gathering from far and wide.
One of the star attractions this year is the Ukrainian Cossacks with their spectacular display along with the Grim Reaper Monster Trucks, Black Mountains Falconry, and much more. And as there’s 12 hours of entertainment, how about Pole Climbing, Stickmaking, Ironwork and much more?
A show wouldn’t be a show without heaps of food and drink … head to the Food Hall and see who’ll be selling their waresAnd for those who love to wander the trade stands, then the Royal Welsh is definitely for you! With five outside areas alone – Auto Avenue, Show Cattle Ring Area, Countryside Care Area, Forestry Section and the Horse Area – you’ll be feeling blissed out!
Wigwam Holidays is located at stand FOR742, which is located in the Forestry Section. The Royal Welsh is one of the key events on the agricultural show calendar. And given they’ve got the dates set for the next four shows, then you’ve no excuse but to put the dates in your diary!
