Whether you're a family looking for a different type of holiday experience, a couple looking for romantic weekend away, or a group looking to do something different. Secret Valley is a great place to spend your spare time and get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
Wigwams
Six wigwams are situated in a large paddock with stunning, peaceful views of the Quantocks. Each of our wooden wigwams sleeps up to 5 people. They are all insulated and have electricity giving heat and light, for a comfortable night's sleep. There is a toilet in the wigwam paddock and the main toilet, shower, self catered kitchen and dining facilities are only a short walk away.
The wigwams have foam mattresses, so all you need is sleeping bags, pillows, towels, crockery and cutlery for use in your wigwam and a torch. Inside each wigwam there is a fridge, kettle and a toaster, as well as this there is an outside area with a picnic table, barbeque and fire pit. (One dog is permitted per wigwam)
Shepherds Hut & Tipi
The tipi and shepherd's hut are positioned on the edge of the vineyard by a beautiful old oak tree. The sun sets directly in front of them and is a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine as dusk settles and stars begin to twinkle.
Both are a short stroll from the shower, toilet, kitchen and dining facilities.
The shepherd's hut is a new version of the traditional home of a shepherd and a 20th century forerunner to today's recreational vehicle. On its original iron chassis, it is made of wood and has old-fashioned wheels and steps going up to it. The double stable doors and windows allow plenty of sunlight to stream in.
The shepherd's hut sleeps two adults (no children please) in a double futon. There is electric lighting and heating or a lovely wood-burning stove. Futons are provided for sleeping, along with a kettle, toaster and fridge. Outside there is a barbecue and fire pit and a picnic table. Dogs are not permitted.
A tipi is a traditional nomadic dwelling with a hole in the apex, offering comfortable accommodation in virtually all weather conditions. Sleeping up to five people on futons, it is beautifully furnished with rugs and candle lanterns creating a lovely relaxed living space with plenty of room.
Made in England, the tipi is constructed to the highest standards, from the best materials and is fully waterproof. 21ft in circumference, it has a roomy majestic feel to take you back to your nomadic roots. Outside is a barbecue and fire pit, and a picnic table make eating al fresco a delight.
Designed for people looking to get away from it all and experience something different, there is no electricity supply in the tipi itself, but the communal kitchen and dining area are fully equipped with all utilities. Guests need to bring all the usual camping gear. Dogs are not permitted.
Yurts
Set in a hidden corner of our paddock is our yurt retreat. It is quiet and tranquil, set near to a beautiful oak tree and surrounded by natural wildlife, without being far from our shower, kitchen and dining facilities.
A yurt is the traditional portable home of the nomadic Mongolian people, where a cone-shaped canvas is laced onto a wooden lattice frame, creating a magical authentic environment and a great way to experience the harmony of round living. On clear nights, you can lie in bed and watch the stars though the open crown.
Made here in the UK the wooden frames are from renewable woodlands. It is well suited for use in this country offering comfortable accommodation in virtually all weather conditions.

Yurt 2 - 12ft, sleeping two. Equipped with futons, ground sheet, coir matting, decorative rugs and lighting by candle lanterns
