Mangurstadh Gallery (0 miles) pastel and oil paintings, photography and handmade paper crafts by artists (and Wigwam site owners) Derek Scanlan and Elsie Mitchell 

Stac Dhomhnaill Chaim (0.5 miles) a fortified sea-stac, hide-out of the late 16th/early 17th century hero, Donald Cam Macaulay and a site where early pre-historic pottery has been found by archaeologists. 

Uig Museum (5 miles) local history, geneology records, archaeological finds and artefacts 

Uig Community Centre (5 miles), host regular ceilidhs, music and drama events 

Uig Gala Day (8 miles) - fun for all the family held at Reef Beach on the 1st Saturday in July

Hebridean Celtic Festival (40 miles) - brilliant annual music festival held around the 3rd week of July. 

Callinish Stones and Visitor Centre (30 miles)- a standing stone circle which dates back to around 3000bc 

Dun Carloway (35 miles)- one of the best preserved iron age brochs in Scotland 

Arnol Blackhouse (40 miles) - a traditional thatched cottage, the residence of a crofting family, preserved virtually as they left it in the 1960s. It provides a unique insight into Hebridean life. 

Harris Tweed - find out about this iconic cloth which can only be "Hand-woven by the islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides, finished in the Outer Hebrides, and made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides."
