Site Description
Honeybrook Wigwams are situated in beautiful mid-Wales. Nestled amongst the hills, the Wigwams offer a great rural location whilst being easily accessible from the Midlands and the North West. Our site, which is shared by a small, family-run garden centre and Cafe provides the perfect location for exploring the countryside or for visiting further afield.
The area provides wonderful opportunities for walking and cycling. Three national cycle routes converge on the local market town of Rhayader, some 4.5miles distant, making Honeybrook the ideal place to stay for a cycling holiday, and miles and miles of uninterrupted views can be enjoyed from the many footpaths right on our doorstep.
The Elan Valley and the Cambrian Mountains are a short drive away and provide a true sense of wilderness for families and keen adventurers alike. Being so rural means that the wildlife is quite literally all around us. Red Kites are often seen circling above, whilst hares play in the fields opposite the Wigwams. An assortment of birds, foxes, badgers, lizards and stoats can be seen on site.
If you fancy a trip, within an hour you can be taking in the sea air and playing on the beach at Aberystwyth, climbing the hills in the Brecon Beacons, reading books in Hay-on-Wye or visiting the spectacular gardens at Powys Castle. If you chose to take it easy and simply stay on site, our on-site Cafe, which sources local food and creates marvellous home-cooked dishes, can provide breakfasts, lunches and packed lunches to make your stay even more comfortable. Keen gardeners will enjoy browsing around our on-site garden centre, Creation Gardens, finding that must-have perennial or locally grown herb to take back home.
