Grouse Wigwams® are a well established tranquil, family run business situated amidst the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors and North East coastline. Located just off the main A171 Whitby to Scarborough road directly behind the Flask Inn. Whitby (8miles), Robin Hoods Bay (5miles), Scarborough (12miles).

This Makes Grouse Hill a fantastic base to explore our beautiful and spectacular countryside with its stunning coastline full of quaint fishing villages and unspoilt presence of Natural beauty. With over 33 years in the caravanning and camping business, we pride ourselves on being a friendly family run site, hosting the AA four star pennant rating. Progressing and developing on a yearly basis, our new exciting business venture, "The Wooden Wigwam®" is now available from 2011.

Our Wigwams are a campers dream situated on the peaceful south facing edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, with fantastic views of the rolling hills, moorland and a back drop of 23 acres of woodland that can be explored. We have a large pond in the bottom of the valley, (known locally as paradise). Our wooden wigwams® sleeps up to 5 people are heated, giving a fun and comfortable alternative to sleeping under canvas, giving you peace of mind, in the knowledge there will be no broken/forgotten tent poles and pegs. All wigwams come fully equipped with electric lights, kettles, Fridges, toasters, microwaves, comfortable mattresses and specially designed decking area, Fire baskets and logs can be purchased from our well stocked shop and must be used in the designated area. All you will need to bring is sleeping bags, pillows, towels and toiletries and all cooking utensils.

Grouse Hill has modern, clean, toilet & shower blocks (3) which boasts, a plentiful source of free hot water and power points. A newly built family bathroom proved to be a great success in 2010, tokens can be obtained from reception/shop.

Laundry room - 2 x washing machines, dryer, soap dispenser, Iron and Ironing board.

Gas exchange - Calor and Camping Gaz.

Refurbished undercover utility rooms (3 blocks).

Well stocked shop with many camping and food provisions available.
