Site Description

Three large Wigwams available for Individuals, Couples, Families and well behaved Groups. Our Wigwams are comfortable, spacious and warm.

Solway View Wigwams are located with views over the estuary of the River Dee and into the Solway Firth. You can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the coastal farmland that surrounds you and feel free to explore with our farm with the Farm & Nature Trails.

Solway View is an ideal base from which to discover & enjoy the countryside, local villages and towns. The Artist Town of Kirkcudbright is always worth a visit and can be reached following a fantastic coastal route by car, bus or for the more energetic, walking or by bike.  Check out the Wildlife Park, Swimming Pool or an Art Gallery.  There are also plenty of shops and places to eat.

Also nearby is Cream O'Galloway , an organic farm that makes Ice-Cream!  They have a great outside adventure play area and an inside playbarn, catering for children of all ages. Also,  tea-room with a great selection of meals and Bike hire.

There are many things to see & do in this beautiful part of Scotland. Mountin Biking at 7 Stanes, Beaches, Water Sports, Bird Watching, Hill walking, Climbing, Gardens, Golf, Sea & Course Fishing and Cycle routes and much much more.

Facilities

WIGWAMS:

Equipped with foam mattresses and electricity for heating and light. Each has a fridge, kettle, toaster and a microwave/gill provided. There is also a picnic bench, barbecue area and camp fire at each wigwam site.

Tariffs/Summary

2012 Tariff

  • Large Wigwam = £25.00pn
  • Large En-Suite Wigwam = £30.00pn*

Thereafter:

  • Adult = £5.00pn
  • Infant Child: (-3yrs) = FREE
  • Child (+3 yrs to 16yrs) = £3.00pn
  • Pets (max 2 per wigwam) =£2.00pn
  • Electricity metered = Cards available at reception = £1

Wigwams will sleep up to 5 people

  • Minimum Booking = 2 night
  • Minimum Bank Holiday Weekend Booking = 3 night
  • Minimum July/August Booking = 3, 4 or 7 Night ( 3 = F/S/S, 4 = M/T/W/T, 7 = M-S or F-T)

*En-Suite Wigwams can be booked now for hire from Easter 2012*
