The park is situated just minutes from a glorious 3 mile stretch of golden sands and overlooks the world renowned Machrihanish Golf Course with views of the Atlantic, and the Isles of Islay and Jura. The area is well known to surfers, canoeists, birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts. Campbeltown is just 5 miles from the site with a regular bus service.
A peaceful family run site which overlooks the famous links golf course with views of the Atlantic and the Islands of Islay and Jura. The area is well known to surfers and canoeists and boasts a three-mile stretch of golden sand just minutes from the site. Wildlife abounds. Otters and Grey Seals are a well-known attraction of the area, Basking Sharks, Whales, Dolphins and Porpoises are also occasional visitors to Kintyre. The Golden Eagle and Peregrine regularly patrol the upland landscapes, particularly near the MULL of Kintyre. The seabird observatory provides shelter and information for seawatchers in all weather conditions and is a focus of birdwatching activity in Kintyre. The Beachcomber Bar and Restaurant is just a short walk from the site and the bustling ‘wee toon’ of Campbeltown with its galleries, restaurants is just 5 miles from the site on a regular bus route from the site. Due to the open aspect in Machrihanish MIDGES are NOT a problem.
