Glasnakille Wigwams can be found 17 miles from Broadrford on the Strathaird peninsular, south west Skye. Coming to Broadford via the toll free bridge or the ferry from Mallaig, travel through the village passing the petrol station on your right hand side, turn left at the Bakery onto the road sign posted Elgol 15 miles. Journey down our spectacular single tracked road which will take about 40 mins, please allow the car behind you to go past, thankyou!. Once in Elgol pause a minute to take in the view. There is a car park on your right with signposts beside it, bear left at the fork in the road, our Glasnakille sign is quite small !, this takes you past our hall and shop and two miles over the moor to Glasnakille Wigwams, first on the right at the junction. Beware of the sheep!..

The Wigwams are available from Monday the 21st March. Max. Capacity two adults per Wigwam. Facilities are situated within the owners residence and comprise of a toilet and shower. There is a site for bar-b-cue (provide your own) and picnic tables.

The wigams both have heating and a power point, and electric lighting.

The local shop and post office is two miles away in Elgol, supplying basic groceries and internet access. There is a twice daily post bus service to Broadford, 17 miles away. Elgol also has a restaurant open daily for evening meals. There are boat trips to Loch Coruisk, please ask land lady for details and booking.

The area has numerous walks for all abilites, allowing everbody to appreciate our stunning surroundings.
