Driving Directions

Acharn is located in Duror of Appin and is about half-way between Oban and Fort William just off the A828.

From the North: take the A82 south from Fort William for about 12 miles, over the bridge at Ballachulish. At the roundabout take the A828 road towards Oban for about 5 miles until you enter the village of Duror. Take the first road on the left (Achindarroch Road). Follow the road for approx 400 yards, turn right (opp Achindarroch touring site) and go straight for approx 600 yds, bear left and follow the Farm track - go over the bridge to the Farm.

From the South: (Glasgow) Take the A82 road north (the Loch Lomond Road) to Crianlarich. Continue on the A82 to Glencoe and, at Ballachulish, take the A828 torwards Oban for about 5 miles until you enter the village of Duror. Take the first road on your left (Achindarroch Road) Follow the road for approx 400 yds. Turn right (opp Achindarroch touring site) and go straight on for approx 600 yds, bear left and follow the Farm track, go over the bridge to the Farm.

From Oban: take the A85 to Connel and then the A828, past the Sea Life Centre and then Castle Stalker. After a further 4 miles you will reach the village of Durror. Just after the Church on the right, there is a right hand turning into Achindarroch Road. Follow the road for approx 400 yds. Turn left (opp Achindarroch touring site) and go straight on for approx 600 yds, bear left and follow the Farm Track, go over the bridge to the Farm.
