Situated above the village, Applecross Wigwam site occupies
over six acres of level, well-drained fields, offering
fantastic views of the Inner Sound looking towards the
islands of Raasay, Rhona and the Black Cuillins of Skye.
With no mobile phone reception the emphasis here is on
tranquility and relaxation!

The site has facilities such as a Café Bar, payphone,
A.T.M, laundry and electric hook-up points. There are two
well-maintained functional shower blocks that are to be renovated
by 2006 to include a dry room and campsite kitchen.
Wigwams provide a refreshing alternative to camping or caravanning.
They have electric heating by £1 coin meter and
a single socket outlet.
All you need is your normal camping equipment except tent.
Prices are £10 per person per night with a Min charge
of £20 on Friday and Saturday
The site also offers space for sixty tents, motor homes and
touring caravans.
The site is open from Easter to October. Regulars should note
that in the true tradition of camping, breakfasts will no
longer be served in the Flower Tunnels’ Cafe Bar. So
bring your stoves! The village shop is well stocked for your
breakfast needs
